Sen. John McCain of Arizona: Trump "undermines his claim for the respect of rule of law" with the Arpaio pardon.

Sen. John McCain said in a statement on Friday:

"No one is above the law and the individuals entrusted with the privilege of being sworn law officers should always seek to be beyond reproach in their commitment to fairly enforcing the laws they swore to uphold. Mr. Arpaio was found guilty of criminal contempt for continuing to illegally profile Latinos living in Arizona based on their perceived immigration status in violation of a judge’s orders. The President has the authority to make this pardon, but doing so at this time undermines his claim for the respect of rule of law as Mr. Arpaio has shown no remorse for his actions."​

Well I guess all the workers at Ellis Island hated the Constitution, too. All that nasty paperwork, I.D. checking, physicals, medically based quarantines, etc. from 1892 - 1954.

Arpio broke the laws of this country


he harrassed the Latino Americans in his jurisdiction


the courts convicted him and was about to sentance him for refusing to follow the laws of this nation.

We are talking about the rule of law of which we should not pick and choose at leisure. We can't bemoan the undermining one law.
Lets face it, this nonsense has been going on for many administration, and for profit, many are looking the other way. So yes, we all are a bit guilty. But lets call a cat a cat instead of a horse whenever it pleases.

He's called for bombing Iran, bombing Libya -in fact you'd be hard pressed to show me a war he didn't want to start/support.
That's his right -my right is to despise his warmonger reactionary ass and "dance on his grave" ( figuratively of course)
