A lot of Leftists like his interpretation of Christianity. Much of the Left is Christian, they just don't like the typical right-wing Mike Pence version of Christianity. So when Pete Buttigieg says that he believes God wants us to help the poor, that resonates with many Leftists.

Personally, I liked Buttgieg and was considering voting for him in the primary. However, after he started sucking up to "special interest groups," I saw him as just another anti-white cuck. So now I don't support him.
I never gave a fuck about his being gay, that had nothing to do with me supporting him and then opposing him.
