That's what I mean. You almost get the idea the armed guard wasn't terribly motivated to go after Mateen. [not suggesting a conspiracy---maybe he figured the $20/hour wasn't worth it] Reports indicate shots were exchanged, but that doesn't really tell much because an exchange of gun fire can be over in a few seconds. And this had to go on several minutes if not longer.

An active shooter that is trying to stay alive and shooting, absolutely doesn't have time to play with his smart phone---unless he wants a quick bullet in his head.

Doesn't make sense.

Orlando Sentinel, June 13: It was just after 2 a.m. Sunday. Gruler ran toward the entrance after hearing the shots.

He was met by gunman Omar Mateen. Armed with a .223 caliber AR type rifle and a 9mm semiautomatic pistol, Mateen started exchanging gunfire with the officer.

Gruler quickly realized he was outgunned and called for backup. Gruler retreated and Mateen ran further inside the club.

Lt. Scott Smith and Sgt. Jeffrey Backhaus arrived a couple minutes later and rushed into the club. There was another flurry of shots between them and Mateen.

There was no shortage of "good guys with guns" at the club, contrary to the lies Trump told about the incident.
They were simply out-gunned.

You know, in a war it often takes several thousand bullets to kill a single person. Because accuracy while exchanging fire with another person and ducking behind cover tends to be really low.

Well yea, especially in a poorly lit night club @ 2AM after lots of drinks etc etc etc..........

Imagine the collateral damage in a scenario like these self-proclaimed rambo's dream up..

Do they know where he is hiding?? NO, they see someone w/ a gun, armed, & shot him~a room full of ppl w/ the same mindset spells disaster.....

After a quick exchange of shots with Mateen, the guard says 'screw this' so the victims had to wait for the cops to arrive. Lemme guess, that's when the bulk of the fatalities occurred, because nobody but Mateen had a damn gun.

And you idiots want more gun laws.
