Oh that's right. It was a stupid gun free zone courtesy of the libs and mateen knew it. He could do whatever he wanted. Hell, he could have ordered a pizza.

june 17 2016 The Orlando shooter and his wife exchanged text messages during the Pulse nightclub rampage, a law enforcement official briefed on the investigation told CNN.

Around 4 a.m. on June 12, about two hours after he started the attack and while holed up in a bathroom, Omar Mateen texted his wife, Noor Salman, asking if she'd seen the news, the official said.

At one point, she responded with a text saying that she loved him. Salman also tried calling her husband several times during the standoff, a second law enforcement official said.
The timing of her calls came after reports of the attack had emerged, and apparently after she realized her husband might be responsible. He didn't answer, the official said.

How come every gun-free zone in the USA hasn't been the site of a mass shooting?

What's wrong with these gun owners? Don't they know where the easy targets are?

BTW, Pulse employed an armed-off-duty cop. He was there the night that your fellow gun owner killed 49 people, and the good guy with a gun exchanged fire with your fellow hoplosexual.

I can't imagine what it would have been like to be inside that night club. It does seem crazy that the shooter was supposedly texting his wife and doing Facebook searches to see if the shooting was being talked about. Were the police outside while all this was going on?

Yeah but he was born in America so he isn't a muslim.

He attended a mosque that already had a terrorist associated with it but he wasn't a muslim

He pledged his allegiance to ISIS but he WASN'T a muslim

however he did own a gun so...........................

im nuetral on the gun debate but it does seem like if your so distracted that you were texting your wife and surfing the web while casually shooting the gay a couple of the gay that were armed could have taken you out.

I'm not into conspiracy theories but at least one thing doesn't add up.

One is the cop with the gun not being able to shoot Mateen while he was changing clips. You can't shoot a semi automatic indefinitely without stopping to reload. And contrary to liberal mythology, if Mateen was forced into an exchange with the armed guard or someone else with a gun it would decrease casualties.

It would also give some of the victims an opportunity to bum rush Mateen while he was focused on trying to not get shot and/or reloading while trying to take out the guard. But instead, Mateen was able to apparently shot and kill at will while texting, have people trapped in restrooms in semi hostage situations etc.

Seems odd.

He was. He exchanged fire with an armed-off-duty cop in uniform hired by the club as security. Did it decrease casualties?
