Ron DeSantis says his new election police have turned up 20 cases of voter fraud in 2020, when Floridians cast more than 11 million ballots

Way to go DeDumbass, and these 20 cases of voter fraud would not have made a difference in the 2020 election?!!

The Republican governor, widely believed to be eyeing a 2024 run at the White House, said most of those charged were from Broward, Miami-Dade or Palm Beach counties, all Democratic strongholds. He released few details.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Thursday announced criminal charges against 20 people for illegally voting in 2020, the first major public move from the Republican’s controversial new election-police unit.

The charges mark an initial salvo from the Office of Election Crimes and Security, which from its conception drew widespread criticism from Democrats and voting-rights groups who feared the unit would serve as a political tool for the governor.

DeSantis said the people charged were convicted of murder or a felony sexual offense and therefore exempt from a constitutional amendment that restores voting rights to some felons. He said most of those charged were from Broward, Miami-Dade or Palm Beach counties, all Democratic strongholds. He released few details.

The 20 people were among more than 11 million Florida voters who cast ballots in the 2020 election.

“They did not go through any process, they did not get their rights restored, and yet they went ahead and voted anyways,” DeSantis said at a campaign-style event in Fort Lauderdale before cheering supporters. “That is against the law and now they’re gonna pay the price for it.”

DeSantis, an ascendant Republican and potential 2024 presidential candidate, pushed the state legislature to create the election police unit to address voter fraud concerns that have proliferated in the GOP following former President Donald Trump’s false claims that his re-election was stolen.

Voter fraud is rare, typically occurs in isolated instances and is generally detected.

From what I understand about what happened is that these people probably voted with proper intent. When the law passed, many felons were approached, encouraged and recruited to register. After many did, DeSantis then signed a bill that also excluded those who had not paid their fines and/or restitution in full. Something very difficult to determine in many cases.

Now, that does not include this group, who were excluded originally. Wanna bet that they knew they were ineligible to vote? I think not.

Massive voter? Crooked Stacy Abrams trying to sneak in and vote in two different states. They saw her coming a mile away? I mean,...how could they not?

WHAT IS THE ACCEPTABLE AMOUNT OF VOTER/ELECTION FRAUD TO THE FRAUDOCRATS???

Yep. Most of them will get a naughty-naughty-no-no because they believed that they were eligible to vote.

Gee, why doesn't Staat Kommandant DeSantis fix Florida's voter registration system BEFORE they register felons?

Hey hey hey........Its FAAAAAAAAAAAT Stacy!

Worth noting that trump is the fattest president since Taft, so the fattest president in over a hundred years. It turns out eating Big Macs all day in bed can only be mitigated so much through liposuction.

All 20 of them registered voters voting under their real names. But they had served time in jail for felony convictions and weren't eligible to vote under a Florida law that continued to penalize them, reflecting the Republican philosophy that the way to encourage better citizenship in released prisoners is to hurt them as citizens. DeSantis managed to track them down at their listed addresses.

Sometimes I cant help but be so thankful to have the privilege of serving under you and having access to you're brain! SALLLLLLUTE! :good4u:

Boward and Miami Dade are the epicenter of voter fraud in Florida, and it's all Democrat. I'm not saying the whole state is that way, but those counties have been embroiled in voter fraud scandals and crimes for decades.

Very true. They also tried to cheat in a real POS who likes to go to seedy hotels and get gang banged by male prostitutes. Florida really dodged a bullet there.

Correction......A guy who likes to get high as hell on crack and go to hotels with male prostitutes to get gang banged. How gross....
