I can see both sides of the issue, but I am tired of being the world security guard. We need to shore up our own home defenses which they keep depleting to have money to fund foreign bases. There has to be a way where we get more cooperation from those that surround Japan and fear China. China helps to keep N. Korea in check, so there is help for that country and Japan.

its actually for legal challenges as well. Normally the court sides with the party which shows beneficial ownership of the land. Like building lighthouses enforcing their laws etc. its why they have begun settling it as well.

One thing we need to remember about china is they are a civilization that predates biblical times. The current regime doesnt think of itself as different from the Ming or Tang dynasty but rather a continuation. Thier mindset is one which plans for decades and centuries not years.

It could be just moving them out of Okinawa, relations have been bad there for some time, the rest of Japan has a more favorable opinion of the US military. If Trump is elected Japan can develop its own nuclear weapon and then they won't need us at all. ;)

I am in sticker price heaven, but we will see about the rest. There is far more to do for retirees. I am excited about the concerts, the museums, Austin, the food, the winter weather, low HOA, property taxes the same as we paid here, plus it will be cheap to fly to my brother, sisters and mother's homes.
