Your tread title is very unproductive, imo. It reflects the ‘we’re all gonna die’ attitude of March 2020 but that’s in the rear view mirror. Anyone who thinks ‘the casket is certain’ if they don’t vax and mask is, to be blunt, simply ignorant. The simply ignorant are dwindling in number.
As mentioned before [the vax fanatics won’t like this] vax hesitancy correlates well with a solid grasp of Covid statistics. Correct that—even a cursory grasp of Covid statistics. How do you convince healthy 20-somethings to take an experimental vaccine when their probability of ‘landing the casket’ is negligible? You’d be lucky to get 25% of them.
But since the Biden administration is dead-set on the ‘vaccine only’ plan of attack they may find themselves in a political casket over the way this is been handled.
That would indeed be ironic—and perhaps only fitting.

Yeah, it's a good criticism of the OP title. I wished it could have been more explicit about some of the points you raised. But it has such an attention-getting ring to it. Short and sweet. Irresistible. Makes you wanna click on it.
I decided to go with it because it's a good conversation starter. Nobody really thinks those are the only two options. Wear a mask or die. In this case, It could be interpreted to mean if the general public doesn't employ masks, more deaths will be the result. And that's really the case. Mask It or Casket.
We have to avoid transmission of the virus.
Hence, my next corny slogan:
Show that you care
Don't share the air!

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Friday released new data which showed that a majority of people infected with COVID-19 in a recent outbreak in Massachusetts were fully vaccinated.
The data, taken from COVID-19 cases reported in July in an unidentified town in Barnstable County, was released after an internal CDC document was leaked which showed that the delta variant of the virus can be spread from fully vaccinated people at the same rate as from unvaccinated people.
In July, officials identified 469 cases of COVID-19 associated with summer events and large public gatherings in Barnstable County. Nearly three-quarters of those infections (346) were detected in people who were fully vaccinated, according to the data.
About 79% of the vaccinated patients who had breakthrough infections experienced some symptoms, including four people who were hospitalized. One unvaccinated person was also hospitalized. No deaths were associated with the outbreak.

Notice how this data pertains to ONE COUNTY in a state with relatively overall low case numbers. 931 new cases in Massachusetts were reported for Friday, 7/30 versus 17,093 for FL (source: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/). But that's how you covidiots roll. You think we're all as willfully stupid as you are, and will believe that "most ppl getting the virus are vaccinated."
