Mark Kelly Denied 2nd Amendment Right

According to his own press, he bought one to give to another person.

So did the shop owner, who bought the gun from a third party to sell Kelly. Since he took delivery, isn't he more culpable?

I though it said that the sale did not go through, I thought that was the entire point of this post.

He didn't complete the transaction, but he did most certainly pay for it.

He paid money for an item. Is that, or is that not, buying it?

True, he did pay for it. He didn't take delivery. But that's a moot point. The gun wasn't the shop owner's to sell.

I admit that any business may deny service as they see fit. If the gun store owner thought it was a risk to his business and may be an illegal act, it is his DUTY to deny the purchase.

How would it be a "risk to his business and may be an illegal act" when he ended up doing what Kelly wanted? That is, donate the gun to the police!

Y'all really need to give up. You're making yourselves out as fools, Billy. Watch the video I posted earlier (the one that everyone but Zappa ignored):

And how many other stories have wee seen in the news lately about fathers buying their whole family guns before "Obammy takes them away"?

Straw purchases each and everyone...but nary a pee from out two-faced, gun nut posters.

Well MY story was one you heard here, because I posted a thread about it. You want to know how Santa brought my daughters their AR-15s? After Sandy Hook, we had a long serious family discussion about this, and since all three of my daughters live in different states (they are adults), we went ahead and began the process of compliance with Federal and State laws. The Monday before Christmas, they went to the gun store, signed some paperwork, and took home their new guns. Fully registered in their names, fully legal and legally purchased. Now, I can't speak for everybody, I don't know how other people in other states, with other gun laws, did this. But my family did nothing illegal, and I don't appreciate your dishonest ass, running around the Internet, claiming we did.

This is clearly a misuse of the word "bought". When you buy something, you recieve it. He might have tried to buy something, he did not buy it as the sale did was not completed.

Right... and when someone TRIES to rob a bank?

What about when someone TRIES to defraud the government?

How about when someone TRIES to rape someone?

How about when someone TRIES to kill someone?

You are arguing, unless they succeed in doing it, they aren't guilty of a crime. In any instance, when it is a crime to do something, it is also a crime to attempt to do it. It's stuff like this that makes me highly doubt you practice law, or have ever been in very many courtrooms.

Just how old were these children, Dixie? Were they old enough to know Santa doesn't exist?

i say that out of respect for you dixie. I don't put you in the same category as those neanderthals like DY and ILA.

Believe it or not, I agree. Dixie is like Drunk Uncle on SNL.

He's so preposterous and skewered with his not-quite-there ramblings, you don't pay attention...you just sit there with a grin on your face and shake your head...
