The GOP needs to take responsibility for their party members. It's abhorrent that a sitting congresswoman can accuse her colleagues of being "pro-pedophile" with few consequences. This is a repeated pattern of egregious behavior and damaging lies from Greene, and it's far beyond time that Republican leadership stepped in."

How did her record compare to all the the other judges? Why did the Republicans like her in previous confirmations but not this one?

Maybe if those she accuses sue her for slander in a court of law, she'll STFU when she realizes that the RNC won't pay her legal fees (not good PR). Hey, it could happen!

People tend not to fight very hard on the appellate appointments. This was also true of Kavanaugh. Harry Reid was unique in his recognition that appellate judges become viable future SCOTUS nominees, which is why he filibustered Estrada and Rogers Brown.

That being said, they should have definitely gone after her record when she was appointed to the DC Circuit. If you can easily undermine a nominee on such grounds, without having to make up allegations of gang rape, you really don't have a lot to lose.

It appears the Republicans didn't fight at all on her previous appointments.

IMO, this whole bullshit is political grandstanding for November. The Republicans all spoke well of her until after their backroom meeting, then they decided she was a pedophile-pushing cunt. That reeks of corruption on their part. Sad to see the Republican Party fall from grace.
