Marital Counseling for Libertarians and Social Conservatives

You've confused libertarian (small l), and Libertarian (a political party). The TEA Party is a sign that small "l" libertarian is once again gaining among Conservatives. And for that I am very glad.
Not at all. Except for Ron Paul, what other elected official is a small l libertarian?

Ron Paul is a big "L" libertarian and has even run on their ticket for office.

You are still confusing this. Most small "l" libertarians are Republicans that place less emphasis on whether gays should marry and more on responsible spending and smaller government. You can spot them everywhere. Cheney, Gingritch, Reagan, et al.

Spare me the hyperbole with what you think I embrace.

Leviticus 18:9

KJV: The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.

NIV: Do not have sexual relations with your sister, either your father's daughter or your mother's daughter, whether she was born in the same home or elsewhere.

According to you, the authors of the NIV should have wrote: "Do not mock your sister, either your father's daughter or your mother's daughter, whether she was born in the same home or elsewhere."

Again, this reading does not fit with the actions of Japheth and Shem. Genesis says they covered Noah's nakedness by carrying a garment backwards and placing it over him. Are you arguing that this means they un-raped Noah?

It does not say that Ham uncovered Noah, but that he saw his nakedness. There is no reason to believe it was used as a euphemism for sexual intercourse and if it were then what did Japheth and Shem do to undo that?

Actually, it is something taught by an older generation to a younger one.

Taught? Did someone teach you for whom you should have romantic feelings?

If it was a matter of teaching millions of parents wouldn't have spent endless nights worrying about to whom their sons/daughters became attached.

A fail of epic proportions, SM. :(

Just because Ron Paul gets an endorsement from a state Libertarian Party and appears on a ballot that way doesn't make him a Libertarian. His house web page identifies him as a Republican.

You are simply referring to minor party endorsements. When I was affiliated with the NYS Conservative Party we endorsed many candidates that way. These candidates also appeared on the ballot as Republicans or Democrats.

No, what makes him big "L" libertarian is his political view and the fact that he has run for high office under their banner. I'm not referring to "endorsement" I am referring to history.

Let me make it simple: In the past Ron Paul appeared on the ballot with an L next to his name, not an "R"... (See Presidential Candidates 1988)...

Japheth and Shem did what any respectful person would do to a rape victim: not look at them naked and cover them up.

So do you really think that Leviticus 18:9 doesn't condemn incest?

That reminds me of the old riddle, "What's the difference between a pregnant woman and a light bulb?"

Actually, he appeared on that ballot as a Republican and as a Libertarian. The official listing of Congress puts a R after his name.

Its the same thing with Lieberman, who ran as a Independent and is now listed with a D after his name.

Are you being deliberately obtuse or does it come naturally?

He is a big "L" Libertarian who runs as a Republican. I've pointed this out to you three times, including direct evidence. The man ran as the Libertarian Party Presidential Candidate in 1988.

Anyway, you continue to confuse big "L" Libertarians and small "l" libertarian-leaning Republicans. Small "l" libertarians like Reagan sometimes even hold the highest of office.

Yes. I was taught that my feelings towards the opposite sex were normal moral natural and healthy. :)

Then the opposite would hold true and would mean that you had to be "taught" that your feelings towards the same sex were not normal or healthy.

Which then raises the question of when did you start having feelings towards your friends of the same sex and what method was used to teach you that those feelings were not normal.

Dude, all those guys have/ had an R after their names, not an L.

But you already had those feelings. My point is you were not "feeling-less" and then chose those feelings because of what others said.

But that would be an assumption, on your part.

It's just as possible that he had feelings towards both and was just "taught" that half of those feelings were baaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.
