Marianne Williamson launches 2024 bid for president

Motivational author: if they're anything like motivational speakers, the woman is a complete fraud.
If I choose somebody new in the Massachusetts Democratic Primary, it won't be this broad.

Still, she threw herself in there. Kudos for that. Beats apathy any day.

She’ll get about as far as she did last time.

Broad? Aren't you the same person who still says mulatto? Dude. Have you been outside of your house in the last 40 years?

I'm a huge fan. America is nowhere near being ready for a Presidency like hers would be - but man, would it be cool to see.

Just an entirely different approach and philosophy, and so positive. I wish we were at a point where her candidacy could really get some traction.

I'm still waiting for a transcript of her speech to get uploaded somewhere, but it was so positive. She is probably in the top fraction of one percent of people in terms of emotional intelligence and you're right: The US is not emotionally mature enough for a candidate like Williamson. I do hope, though, that she's able to keep a spotlight on social, racial, and economic justice issues for a while. She seems like a truly good person and gawd knows we could use some good people right now.

Nothing against her. Probably a nice lady, seems a little daffy though,...even for a lefty. No shot of being nominated even in this extremely weak field of current D's. Why even run.

She is a delightful person, kind and charitable. She’s got a great message, but she, in my opinion, is not qualified to be President.

Williamson just officially joined the presidential race. She doesn't stand a chance, but she gave a great speech announcing her candidacy. She will be able to focus national attention on race relations and economic justice. I will link her remarks when they get published somewhere.

Brandon makes Williamson look like a Rhodes Scholar. Like darling of the democrats, Michael Avanetti, she should make a suitable replacement for our current failed administration.

I say "broad." I don't say "mulatto." "Broad" is not a demeaning term in 60s speak, and I'm old and unadaptable. Sorry.

She explained that yesterday.

Probably not. Someone who says, “It is our job to create a vision of justice and love that is so powerful that it will override the forces of hatred and injustice and fear,” should have a powerful place in the government though.
