Map of Russia's special operations in Ukraine, the advance of Russian troops, militar

I for one am shocked at how Russia handled this war. I thought they would have fought more of an American style campaign and relentlessly bombed Ukraine before a single Russian boot hit the ground. They could have easily done that but chose not to. But that's not what they did,.........instead they turned it into a STUPID war of attrition meat grinder. IMO there is only one reason Russia chose to go the route they did..........a great FEAR of NATO entering into the mix with actual Troops and hardware. And really,...they SHOULD fear NATO,....we have the far superior force. So,....Russia decided to fight this war by hamstringing itself in how they fought it which is a losing deal. They would have been far better off negotiating a settlement. You cannot fight a WAR half assed. And that's exactly what they did. FEAR of NATO was the cause,....thus proving that for all its faults NATO works fairly well for doing what it was designed to do.
Russia has never owned the sky in Ukraine. Russia is a paper tiger. Russia has lost 350 - 400 aircraft in Ukraine. Russia has lost over 4000 main battle tanks in Ukraine. Russia had over 1.2 million casualties in Ukraine. (Wounded, MIA and KIA)

Geran-2 drones destroyed a Ukrainian Armed Forces building in the village of Usok. Footage of strikes by Russian Geran-2 kamikaze drones on a temporary deployment site for Ukrainian units and a drone warehouse. The video clearly shows Ukrainian servicemen arriving at the building in Usok, Sumy Oblast, Ukraine. A total of three Geran-2 drone strikes were carried out on the building. The remains of the building and surviving Ukrainian servicemen are shown at the end of the video.

I agree. But surely they could have used many more missiles then they did and took out much more of Ukraines defense systems. I just think that they were very afraid of going too far and having NATO get involved. Either way,.....the war has depleted them terribly when it comes to they're military and that is a VERY good thing.
