You want laws, for now, at a minimum, treat guns like we do autos; licenses, tests, registrations, insurance, inspections, etc.. Maybe that will prevent next month's school massacre

How would the things you've mentioned have stopped this incident; because you haven't shown any determent.

The 2nd is a vestige of the 18th century. Much like the 3rd and the 7th. Its relevance came and went long ago. It’s just that barrel-strokers still have their minds back a couple of centuries.

No problem with the first Amendment, but I do see the Second Amendment as relevant today as the Third Amendment, we're not a society without a military nor living off in the frontier amongst hostile neighbors

He was shot, not murdered; because he was waving around what appeared to be a real rifle.

And if Blacks aren't allowed to have guns, then who's doing all these daily / weekly shootings in Detroit and Chicago??

Instead as predicted we got a regurgitation of the previous attempt, and again, the steps to prevent today should have been taken years ago, the action now is to do something to prevent a similar event down the road, really not that difficult

So what action should have been taken "years ago" that would have stopped this and what steps should be taken that will guarantee it doesn't happen again?
 
The lefties will kvetch but nothing will happen. In fact the democrat party doesn’t have the balls to run a national campaign on gun control. So as tragic as this is, we all know nothing is going to change. I am ok with that. Lefties can wring their hands but they know it is true
