It is illegal to: sell a knife of any kind to anyone under 18 years old (16 to 18 year olds in Scotland can buy cutlery and kitchen knives) carry a knife in public without good reason - unless it's a knife with a folding blade 3 inches long (7.62 cm) or less, e.g. a Swiss Army knife.

The second amendment was demanded by slave states to keep the (northern) federal government from interfering with militias mandated to insure and promote slavery. The 2nd amendment was all about preventing freedom not securing it.

Amazing! I took my knife out of my pocket and took this picture over the article:

I carry this knife every day everywhere I go. My principal, our science teacher and I bought them online almost 20 years ago. I use it many times during the day and have skinned many critters (squirrels, rabbits, birds, deer, etc.) with it. I also have used it to peel certain fruits that need peeling. I wash it nightly so that it is clean and ready to go the next day. I have several such knives, most bigger. This is the one I carry when I wear slacks or khakis.

If I somehow forget it (one morning it fell into the recliner and I didn't know it) I am constantly reaching for it when needed. I cannot imagine banning such a tool. Another reason I am glad to live here.

And no offense to Tom for pointing this out either...but wow.

And to think that some people think our gun laws ought to be like that.

That law is about carrying knives in public, it is specifically designed to stop thugs carrying large knives to wound or kill. They wouldn't apply for farmers, agricultural workers, hunters etc.
