Man...That Cruz Is One Dumbass!

Howey

Sen. Ted Cruz, riding the coattails of his own idiocy and the stupidity of the people of Texas in his quest to win the Republican nomination for President in 2016:

In a question and answer session following a speech he gave at a Montgomery County GOP dinner last night, an audience member asked Cruz, "Why don't we impeach him [Obama]?"

"It's a good question," Cruz responded, "and I'll tell you the simplest answer: To successfully impeach a president you need the votes in the U.S. Senate."

What kind of holes do the teabaggers dig these idiots out of?

Speaking of Dummy Cruz...he's supposed to be a Harvard grad and SCOTUS attorney and didn't know he was a Canadian citizen until two days ago????????????????????

"Given the raft of stories today about my birth certificate, it must be a slow news day. The facts of my birth are straightforward: I was born in 1970 in Calgary, Canada. Because my mother was a U.S. citizen, born in Delaware, I was a U.S. citizen by birth. When I was a kid, my Mom told me that I could choose to claim Canadian citizenship if I wanted. I got my U.S. passport in high school.

"Because I was a U.S. citizen at birth, because I left Calgary when I was 4 and have lived my entire life since then in the U.S., and because I have never taken affirmative steps to claim Canadian citizenship, I assumed that was the end of the matter.

"Now the Dallas Morning News says that I may technically have dual citizenship. Assuming that is true, then sure, I will renounce any Canadian citizenship. Nothing against Canada, but I'm an American by birth and as a U.S. Senator, I believe I should be only an American."

Cruz/Palin '16
Dumb and Dumber!

I guess the righties don't realize what he said is stupid? Wonder how they impeach in his native homeland of Canada?

From what I have seen of Cruz I feel like he is a sociopath or psychopath? Psychopaths are usually smooth talkers, above average IQ, and show no real concern for others. Given the sequester and Cruz's almost absurd ambition to defund a law that will help people in need, you can only arrive at that conclusion. He reminds me also of Joe McCarthy, a comparison shown by his behavior during the Haggle confirmation - he even looks a bit like Joe.

Makes perfect sense to me.....I don't see what the problem is.....if the Senate won't try an impeachment (and it won't), its quite useless to start the procedure....and thats
the reason the House won't start an impeachment.....
Why waste the time of Congress for no reason.....?

Seems to me, you're the idiot one this.

Thats perfectly true......with this Senate, a successful impeachment is about as likely as you having an IQ higher than 60.

You don't like criticism of Repub politicians?

I don't mind if its actually warranted...but in this case, Howey the Homo is looking like a fool....
Needs a little remedial reading comprehension course in his local Grade School....4th grade ought to set him straight...

and sad to see Rana is stupid enough to "thank" the idiot. Makes both of them idiots.

Doesn't stop them from wasting the time and the taxpayer dollars by trying to end the AHCA 40 TIMES.

That don't cost a dime ..... and well worth the effort. After all, its what the majority of the citizens want.

Why do you want to change the subject.

The hell it don't cost a dime. It costs the taxpayers the salaries of those legislators for the amount of time they waste on this nonsense that will never get passed....not to mention the energy that could be used on useful legislation

He's pissed I posted a picture of a white man.

Lol...

The senate tries, dumbfuck. The House impeaches, therefore the House votes.

Further explanation for Bravo tard*:

The only vote to "impeach" is in the House. Only the House can do that, therefore Cruz, like you, is a tard*

* my apologies to the yards of America for including BravoTard in your group.

Gawd...if the House got paid per bill passed, they'd have to be on unemployment.

Should Ted Cruz be charged with perjury?!?

Apparently, he has submitted paperwork for background checks where he has answered questions about his citizenship:

Peter Kaplan, a spokesperson for the FTC, told TPM on Tuesday that the heads of offices at the agency undergo background checks through the Office of Personnel Management. The OPM has standard forms they use “governmentwide for various employment and benefits program purposes.” On the OPM’s list of standard forms there are three questionnaires for jobs of various sensitivity; “national security positions,” “public trust positions,” and “non-sensitive positions.” All three of these questionnaires contain detailed sections on citizenship that ask applicants their “place of birth” and whether they have ever held “dual citizenship.” To be clear, TPM did not ask specifically which forms Cruz himself filled out, only which forms someone in his position would have to. But the FTC wouldn’t even go that far. Kaplan said someone would have to file a federal public records request to determine specifically which forms would be required of someone in Cruz’s position.

(Spokespersons with the Justice Department, meanwhile, were unable to provide an answer to a similar question by publication time.)

A spokesperson for the personnel office, who asked not to be named, said Wednesday that a form known as the SF 85, the “Questionnaire for Non-Sensitive Positions,” is the lowest level of background check the OPM conducts. Like all of the other OPM questionnaires, it includes specific queries for potential employees about their birthplace and whether they have dual citizenship. Archived versions of the OPM website show these questions were included on all three questionnaires when Cruz first worked at the DOJ in 2001 and when he moved to the FTC later that year.

Background Check Likely Asked Cruz About Dual Citizenship

Did Ted Cruz LIE to the federal government about his dual citizenship status?!?

Inquiring minds want to know!!

I don't want to know. I don't care. His mom was a US Citizen, Cruz is a US citizen, and I'd much rather focus on his politics than on supposition about whatever questionnaire he filled out.

I didn't question his citizenship.

The question is whether he lied to the government when filing official paperwork.

If, in fact, he did -- well, that is a crime punishable by law.

Also, I was mocking some recent threads. :)
