*sigh* Seems our little sheet wearer is near apoplectic that no one is responding to his "blacks are dangerous criminals by nature" stat driven screeds that America has had to suffer. Let me just put this to bed for the rational, objective readers:
Currently in NYC there are a little over 7 million people (according to Census records). Black folk make up roughly about 1.7 million of that population. By the article our sheet wearer linked (Good old Murdock's near MAGA rag,
The New York Post, black folk were responsible for 280 murders (of other black folk) in one year's tally. That's a minute fraction of less than 1% of the black population.
The article plays fast and loose with stats and raw numbers for various crimes, consistently leaving out the raw population numbers, or the high poverty levels in the areas the crimes occur, lack of mental health facilities, etc.
Mind you, STATS don't mean a damn thing to the victims and their surviving family members. They want justice. They just are not willing to accept the "price" of numerous black folk being murdered by cops for crimes they didn't commit, or for misdemeanor offenses...or for being jailed for YEARS by corrupt cops and prosecutors for crimes they didn't commit ... while at the same time rarely penalizing the corrupt cops and prosecutors to the full extent of the law.
They want the same type of justice that all those white mass shooters get (arrested without so much as a scratch), or all those rapist that consistently top the DOJ and FBI lists (hint: they ain't black). Fair trials, fair reporting by the media.
That would negate the painfully obvious conflating of stats, facts and other societal situations that conservatives don't like to fit their narratives(Black Lives Matter speaks to the aforementioned injustices...flawed leadership non-withstanding) to a significant degree. Not saying that would stop crime in the black community all together, but it would be a hell of an improvement.
