I know all about this type of situation. I was on a flight back to Bangkok from Chiang Mai once with my then 2 year old son. He wouldn't sit down and get belted up and kept running around the plane before takeoff. I managed to grab him and hold him down until the seat belt light went out. He didn't stop screaming until I finally released the belt, there were plenty on that plane that wanted to give him a slap I can tell you.
