You can't even call it an attack. Wow, there is nothing like taking the power from language.

It makes sure you never forget this is made by man and is not detached from the endovors of man Oh say like deplomacy and bad foriegn policy on all sides.

Its a disastor not a booogey monster.

What gives them power is the fear that they create by virtue of their attacks. This will not change by changing what you call them.

I can understand calling the mentally retarted by the title of "special needs". Or calling the deaf the "hearing impaired". Its a feel-good thing designed to avoid offending people and to make them feel better.

But the only person the change here makes feel better is the terrorist. And, quite frankly, I had rather not do anything but make them feel pain.

Not emotionless enough. It will be "man caused population decreases".

Kind of like a Tropical Storm, they get names and the Man Caused Directed Population Decreases will get names too. Then well add Categories.

It will Look Like this:

MCD Alice is a Category 1 Man Caused Disaster.
MCPD Bob is a Cat 3....

Only when it gets to Cat 5 do you get the "directed" added, otherwise it is mostly improvised Man Caused Population Decreases.

Only a MCPD with a Cat 3 or better has a "Shock and Awe" portion... while MCDs usually use improvised and hand crafted implements of population decrease.
 
Desh, what is the positive side of the renaming of terrorism to man caused disastor?

Is someone thinking that a radical islamic group who is hell-bent on sending suicide bombers out to kill, maim and cause great fear, will somehow decide not to do so because it won't be called terrorism anymore?

Is the thinking that people will be less afraid if its called something else?
