MAMA

ROFL.
i knew you'd make some stoopid trollish remark instead of addressing Chinese requirements for US trade/business
~~

China is the mega market, except it isn't because China uses State Owned Enterprises to control their business climate

Sadly your argument against Biden & who knows who else would have some weight of Trump actually accomplished some things.

Starting w/ what he promised & never delivered.....

Our economic situation, the rambo alone bull has accomplished squat, a hill of beans........

China & ASEAN just inked the biggest trade deal in history... That sir is 1/3 of the world commerce now under the CCP belt.........

Trump gave up on the virus=China whipped it's ass & continues to progress in their pursuit to be the #1 economy in the world~while we struggle to continue to keeping our economy open & that virus from killing more & more of us=DISASTER...........

You can blame everyone under the sun & make any excuses that sooths you, but in the end the buck stops @ the desk in the oval office not over on blame someone else avenue...............

you sound like you want to join the TTP.
That's the only large trade deal option available unless you are insane enough to join a Chinese led Pact

Which leaves the status quo of the WTO, or continuing to try to restart Trump's phase 1 enforcement
of the existing signed deal.

before we get any more granular on trade, do you agree on the parameters of choice US trade can go?
basic structures for agreements

I think Biden does NOTHING except call for an "international approach" and then forget about it
when it goes nowhere.
Meaning we are governed by the WTO..again..filing grievances..again..

Governments are products of culture.

To an extent, although a government can still be very detached from the culture of the people it rules over. Most governments develop a bureaucratic structure composed of people who stay in government jobs for all or most of their lives. The ones with high authority often pull the strings. The Russian government is blatantly like this, whereas the US government is usually more subtle about it. In recent years, however, the US government has become a lot more blatant in the manipulations of its bureaucratic power players. Both the Russian government and the US government aren't corrupt because of culture as much as because of the lack of ethics among the people who run things.

cvery true. I'm impressed you know the "four olds" as well! that's getting pretty granular
My point was Maoism overthru traditional Chinese values, but that same national hive mind allows China to focus on the collective vs. individualism like the west embraces

True, there are advantages to collectivism, as shown by countries like Singapore, Japan, and South Korea. All of those nations embody the best aspects of collectivism. It would be nice if we could replicate that, but the West unfortunately seems to be leaning towards the worst aspects of individualism while embracing only the bad aspects of collectivism.

ROFLMAO. Duuuude! Thanks for proving Russian culture keeps failing at creating government. They're as fucked up as the Italians.

OTOH, Russians were smart enough to steal nuke tech from the Americans but the Italians were not. Kudos to your failing culture.

The Italians were actually quite good at creating government back when they were known as the Romans. After the Romans fell, everything changed. America might be headed the way of the Romans.

Why would American business leaders allow that to happen, comrade? This isn't fucking Russia.

They've been allowing it since the 80s. It's a bipartisan problem. Granted, multinational corporations have no loyalties to any nation. They'll sell out to anyone to make a buck.

It's also not a surprise you are against American business, comrade.

Obviously the government should ensure nothing illegal happens. Again, this isn't fucking Russia.

Dutch, this isn't a good faith argument or even a coherent one. Anatta was pointing out a very valid point. It has nothing to do with laws and everything to do with loyalties.

The reason why a lot of non-Western countries are better able to keep their working class in good shape than many Western countries is because their corporations have pride in their country. Look at Japanese corporations or South Korean ones, for example.

American corporations are rarely run by people who actually care about keeping jobs here or who have any pride in our country. All they care about is profit.

China didn't "whip its ass." They kept foreign journalists from reporting on it after a while. All of their domestic media is obviously state controlled (with a few exceptions that still face heavy government pressure).

The true death toll of COVID in China is likely in the millions, but because China is a police state, getting accurate numbers is very difficult.

no kidding. It's a CHINA LED TRADE PACT
do you think getting into a trade situation designed by China is a good idea?

This is a strategic reason as well for the TPP - as a counter to ASEAN
except you know how bad the TPP is riighy Hillary and Bernie both opposed

So that lever with the old ossified WTO protocol, or a new China/US bilateral. correct?
Which is what Trump got 1/2 way done and Biden should finish.
But Biden is a dumb globalist -gawd knows where we land in trade

I am delighted to say that after eight years of hard work, as of today, we have officially brought RCEP negotiations to a conclusion for signing," said host country Vietnam's prime minister, Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

“The conclusion of RCEP negotiation, the largest free trade agreement in the world, will send a strong message that affirms ASEAN’s leading role
it's been in the works,it's like an extension of Silk Road or something

Well, Trump fucked it up bigly.I would take mediocre over wondering what a goofball in an ill-fitting suit has to say today.

Trump had it going till Democrats godsend got here from China.

In fact, the only thing F’d up now are are the pandemic guidelines and Democrats are determined to make those worse. The economy—Trump’s economy, is recovering. Biden will almost certainly F*-up Trump’s economy.

Unless he and the democrats are made more or less impotent by the Senate. Right now that’s our best hope.

regs and stupid trade situations can jam it up all by Biden alone

Agreed. The Trump administration has been very corrosive to the integrity of the US government. Not just Trump's Tantrum of firing key officials since he lost the election, but for the entire four years.

Trump isn't done either. He'll continue to be a corrosive to democracy for the next 60ish days. As you pointed out, Trump is pushing the US government to be more like Russia than what We, the People, have had in the past.

The Purge continues.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/17/politics/chris-krebs-fired-by-trump/index.html
Trump announced on Twitter he was firing Chris Krebs, the director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and directly tied it to Krebs' statement that said there "is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised."

we have careerist bureaucrats. what was different is the exposure of the deep state
as a power structure by politicized leadership.

Biden and his fucking "Logan Act" and Obama and his "everyone play it straight" notwithstanding.
The NSC types act like they rule the world. Back to the Swamp

What are you smoking, Carp?

We have governors threatening to arrest people if too many people gather on thanksgiving. Political Censorship is rampant. We are living through the most Russia-like era in our history and it has nothing to do with Trump.

Well some of it maybe *because* Trump.

It was all Trump, comrade Darth. Get a fucking clue.

OTOH, there might be a silver lining to the Trump administration.
