Considering Trump has little effect on the actions of the of the positions of the races held, people were behaving foolishly to make trump a factor.

It was about healthcare and all the people who erroneously thought ACA was different from Obamacare. It was also the false promise of jobs returning to dying industries.

Many who were predicting a Gilly win or nailbiter are now playing it off and trying to say that he shouldn't have distanced himself from Trump and that it's no big deal that "a Dem won a Dem state".

The margin ended up bigger than even the most optimistic lefty would have guessed, and the other races added everything up to a much more ominous signal for the GOP. And if you read into some of the exit polls, the future looks even worse - voters under 45 went overwhelmingly Democrat.

Careful what you wish for: you wanted Trump to wreck the party, and he's doing it.
