Major Ohio paper endorses Clinton after years of backing GOP

The Cincinnati Enquirer, one of Ohio's largest newspapers, is backing Hillary Clinton after supporting Republican presidential candidates for nearly a century.

"The Enquirer has supported Republicans for president for almost a century -- a tradition this editorial board doesn't take lightly. But this is not a traditional race, and these are not traditional times," the editorial board of the Enquirer published Friday. "Our country needs calm, thoughtful leadership to deal with the challenges we face at home and abroad. We need a leader who will bring out the best in all Americans, not the worst."
"That's why there is only one choice when we elect a president in November: Hillary Clinton," the editorial reads.

I don't see how Trump overcomes this kind of stuff.

he has tweets, the media & a debate..... He is going to go after hillary personally, name call etc etc etc just like he has done in every debate.........

he has already worked the mods, the media & his fans~only one left to work over, her.........

Those others didn't expect, nor perhaps deserve the trash that they were attacked w/.........

She knows whats coming & she will be as ill prepared as they were, even after they wised up......

IMHO he has no other choice, NONE............

No credible media outlet is going to endorse Trump. Trump is the product of a fractured party. The party has been destroyed from within by Unionbusters, Baggers, and so called Constitutional Conservatives, who are neither conservative or have even a rudimentary knowledge of the Constitution. Baggers claim the mantel of Ronald Reagan, but have very little in common with Reagan, or even understand Reagan's eight years in office.

This happen to the Democrats in 72 when they nominated McGovern. The Democratic party which traditionally backed middle class workers, became fractionalize by anti-war activists,and extreme Liberals. Americans traditionally do not vote for extremist candidates, or in Trumps case an unknown quantity,from a party taken over by Baggers. Trump's defeat in November will roll out similar to McGovern, who lost in 49 States.

The polls claim Trump supporters are mainly white H.S educated males, that may be true but I doubt he holds a majority in that constituent group.
 
As a native Buckeye I thought I'd never see the day where the Cincinnati Enquirer would endorse a Democrat.

I mean Cincinnati is well known as the last great bastion of the anal retentive conservative.
