Anonymoose, hope you are okay.

So far, all my family and friends are fine. Lots of broken glass, but all are safe, no electricity or phone service

Big quake.

Hope everyone up there comes away in decent shape. Saw a few pictures of the highway out of Anchorage...and it looks like something out of a horror movie.

People out west have been getting an ass-kicking this year.

And this stuff is only going to pick up. Watch.

If the Glenn highway is destroyed between Anchorage and Wasilla, the only way into the interior is by the Knik Arm water way and by air.

This could be very, very bad.

Did Trump cause the eathquake? Is there a single thread which doesn't blame Trump for something?

If he didn't immediately fly back from the summit to personally inspect the scattered goods at the local Ace Hardware store then clearly he is a veteran hating, Russian puppet who can't handle a real woman.

What a relief, eh? It's hard to be so far from loved ones at times like this. Same here as far as good news... even our remote best-selling-author friend who lives out in Willow. No power there and probably won't be restored for two weeks, she said, but they and the puppies are all safe. Our other friends are good too. This event is a good illustration of why "government interference" (in the form of building codes) can be a very good thing. I've been checking the news services for hours now and have not yet seen any reports of fatalities. I am so happy to hear this news!
