So, there's that. If you're a progressive, like Bernie, and you undermine Hillary, you get to watch SCOTUS erode freedoms & equality that people you love have fought tooth & nail for over decades.

Certainly gives the idea of "principle" a bit more complexity than you're portraying.

I suppose it was too much to ask Cruz and Kasich to act like statesmen and support the candidate that beat them fair and square.

Didn't all 17 candidates at the time it came out sign the loyalty pledge to support and endorse the candidate for the Republican party whomever it may be? Donald Trump wasn't my first choice but he signed the pledge that was specifically put forth based on the thoughts he might run 3rd party if he didn't win the nomination. Where I have a problem with those that signed it but won't honor it is if any of them would have won the nomination, they would expect Trump to do for them what they refuse to do for him.

Spot on. If no one ever compromised, I don't even want to think about where we'd be as a nation.

Sad part is the left's concept of compromise is sit down, shut up, and do what you're told.

It's not a sell-out. Politics is a practical business, and elections are about winning & losing.

He put up a good fight, and lost. Now, he's acting like the leader & statesmen he is, who realizes that the future of SCOTUS as well as other progressive issues that he & his supporters hold dear are all on the line. It would be egotistical and unprincipled if he did NOT support Hillary.

Part of that fight included Bernie making statements just 3 months ago that Hillary wasn't qualified to do the job. By endorsing her, what he's saying is that he supports someone he thinks it's qualified but he'll be a good little boy and do what he's told.

Funny how you consider having principles as Bernie endorsing someone he doesn't think is qualified to do the job. Doesn't say a lot about principles of the left. By doing that he shows his "principles" rise to the level of a turd you flush down the toilet.
