Mott the Hoople
Sweet Jane
Closest I've ever come to real European food is in New Orleans. Man you can get heart and gout real quick in that town.
I love that movie.
Tarintino's next movie looks pretty over the top too.
The South Yadkin River runs right through the heart of County Iredell.Don't sweat it. Irredell [sic] county is better anyways.

Nah- Greek or Italian beat it hands down, especially with respect to portion size. I'll let you eat the pigeons...Oh dude, put your prejudices aside. The best chef's and the best cuisine in the world is French. ...
I am lost, but it sounds pretty. Would you recommend it for retirement?
Hubby and I are starting to look. We had to postpone it for five more years, but that will be here before we know it!
No offense to Greeks or Italians or the Chinese with their fabulous culinary tradition but French cooking beats em all hands down and if you think French cooking is all about small portions....you've never been to a French Restaraunt.Nah- Greek or Italian beat it hands down, especially with respect to portion size. I haven't seen any previews, what is it? I love him.
It all depends on what you are looking for. We moved here from Upstate NY after some research (pre-internet) and comparison with other metropolitan areas between 200,000 and 500,000, no college towns, no resort towns, low crime, good schools, low cost of living, low taxes, lots of sunshine, adequate rainfall, four seasons and a diverse, vibrant economy. When we retire those needs will change. Southwest Virginia may be better for us then because the taxes are lower, the economy isn't great there but that won't matter to a retired couple.I am lost, but it sounds pretty. I actually agree with Low IQ, for once...
The question doesn't really work. How can anyone say they don't like English food or American, Indian or Chinese? I like the food my Mum cooked and I like the food my missus cooks. I like some Chinese food but prefer northern and Shanghai to Cantonese. I like cod and chips but not haddock. Swiss cheese is lovely but so is English.
Last night I had a Thai beef salad which was to die for, followed by a pork steak and finished off with apple pie and cream. We drank French wine and Chinese beer and all in a French restaurant!
So really this thread is about adults telling each other what they like to eat! Earth shattering stuff, what!
Cod and Chips, what a load of pollacks!!
Well I like pinoch bech but wouldn't eat balut at the point of a gun, what's your point? The question doesn't really work. This is no plaice for puns.
Now kindly refrain from this nonsense as you're giving me a haddock.
You're just pissed he beat you to it! LOL
