well first off I don't think anybody should ever be forced to work ever I'm absolutely against slavery.

also if wherever you work starts to open up and you don't want to go you can always quit. Your government goodies are going to dry up but it should. One thing you should know about me absolutely against government spending to help people be couch potatoes.

In the science to create a vaccine takes time and more importantly it takes money. So if it's 6 months a year 2 years down the road you want people to be locked in their house all that time.

What is stopping you from wiping down EVERYTHING you come in contact with before you touch it if you are that afraid of it? Is it Karen's responsibility to protect you? Are you afraid you are lazy and don't want to wipe things down?

Again, nobody is going to make you do anything you don't want to do precious. You are free to stay squirreled in your home forever until Dr. Fauxi sends you a personalized email that it is safe to come out. You never have to leave your house for any reason. You don't even have to go to the grocery store. You can have a friend go. You can have them delivered. You can wipe everything down on your front porch before you bring them into your pristine bacteria/virus free home

What is it we don't agree on? Re-opening the economy.

You want to reopen it now and roll the dice on "herd immunity" without a vaccine, and I think we should shelter in place until there's at least mass testing, and at most a vaccine.

My position is supported by the medical professionals, and yours is supported by people who ignored the stay at home order and either got sick or died.

first of all yours is a nonsensical argument, the flu isn't a big deal for most people and I don't go out and purposefully catch it, same with the common cold

It isn't about not taking reasonable precautions and nobody is suggesting you don't

What is being asked now is not reasonable. It is not reasonable to shut down our economy. It is not reasonable to let people foreclose on their mortgages. There is nothing reasonable about that so you can feel like you have no risk of catching a cold

But even then, it's highly likely at some point during the chain of ownership, the product or person could be contaminated, particularly if you have spent the whole week exposing yourself to the disease before going to the supermarket, Karen.
