When Madonna sensationally pulled down a 17-year-old fan, Josephine Georgious', top onstage, exposing her breast in front of thousands of people, it immediately made headlines. But Corrine Barraclough argues that there wasn't enough outrage over the singer's bizarre antics. Anyone aggrieved by Madonna showing up hours late to her concerts this week must be wide-eyed and shivering silently in shock today.

Necking shots, swigging from a hip flask and acting erratically on stage is controversial and questionable enough.
But yanking a young girl's top down on stage, exposing her breast? Madonna, what the hell are you playing at?

Too controversial: Writer Corrine Barraclough argues that Madonna's behaviour on tour in Brisbane is totally unacceptable

Not how it should be: She says that being invited up on stage is supposed to be a 'memorable experience' for a fan

Fan exposed by Madonna calls it 'greatest moment of my life'...as it's revealed she's no stranger to going topless in public. She mocked suggestions that she may sue the singer.

“Seriously, why would I sue Madonna for the best moment of my life?,” she told The Courier Mail.

“It was the best night.

“She was calling me a Victoria’s Secret model the whole time I was on stage, which is so flattering.”

You dirty old woman! If Madonna was a man she would just have made herself a pariah, says PIERS MORGAN

Imagine if YOU were a high profile celebrity involved in a custody battle over your 15-year-old son? Court proceedings are on-going, emotions are high, lawyers are engaged in furious exchanges and the world's media is salivating over every spit, cough and titillating claim. The boy himself is confused, upset and incredibly embarrassed over all his family's dirty linen being washed in public.

What would YOU do in that situation?

I'd hazard a guess that pretty much bottom of your list of sensible responses would be to drag a 17-year-old girl up on stage in front of thousands of people and deliberately expose her breast, right? Or to declare to the crowd that she was 'the kind of girl you just want to slap on the arse'.

Or to then tell that girl: 'You can do the same to me if you like if you like,' before gesturing to your crotch and adding, 'you want to make my hole big again?' This would all be bad enough if you only had the one child, the poor boy caught up in a legal fight between you and his other parent, your former spouse.

But actually, you have five children, not one. Oh, and to make it even more excruciating, you're 57 and old enough to be this girl's grandparent. Now imagine if you were a male celebrity in that position? What do you think would happen to you? First, there would be universal revulsion. Second, there would be global media fury. Third, you would almost certainly face arrest for lewd conduct and/or sexual abuse.

How did Madonna know that in advance? I also know that a male performer would not be afforded any form of justification, it would be considered sexual assault pure and simple.

As far as I'm aware, nobody has claimed anyone knew in advance.

If a male or female performer do the same thing and the "victim" loves it, what's the issue?

Tom thread fail.

Something like that happened to my wife. We were at a local dance club on the dance floor and she was wearing a similar outfit. A bustier, skinny jeans and heels. The misses, who is an A cup wonder, bumped into another lady and her little booby popped out. We were walking back to our table and she was behind me and neither of us noticed until we sat down. She just giggled and pulled her top back up.

Madonna is a woman and there obviously has been outrage over the incident. Including yours. ;)

Do me a favour, you know full well that feminazis would have screaming blue fits and be calling for the male performer's head and balls. That it is being so lightly treated here shows the double standard is at work. Madonna didn't only expose that teenager's breast she also asked her to stroke her crotch, I would suggest that any male performer doing likewise would be had up on serious sexual assault charges.

I fail to see what those incidents have in common, to be honest. Madonna didn't bump into her she deliberately sexually assaulted, she even admitted it ffs.

Has a male performer done that?

I'll wager that if Carlos Santana stroked your ass onstage you'd be ecstatic.

Since the "victim" in this case said the experience was "the best moment of my life", why do you think it's an outrage?

Total tom thread fail.
