People who enjoy the deaths of other human beings are evil antihumans who deserve to be drawn and quartered.

I will enjoy your deaths, just as you have enjoyed the deaths of others, you sadistic, evil, monsters. It is justice that those who dehumanize others are dehumanized themselves, and disposed of like the animals they are.

The Scumbag killed himself in the same room with his young child so his young child was the first to see him. I hope he strangled slowly. I hope it was painful. What a fuckhead. I have no problem with people committing suicide but they should not do where family members will find them or where they will have to clean up after them.

I had not heard this, how awful, you are right, why do they always kill themselves where family will find them?

Personally I could care less. He did not do the right thing. There is no way their father pulled that massive a ponzi scheme off without their knowledge. None.

The Maddoff family destroyed the lives of a lot of people. People that haven't taken the cowardly way out by killing themselves. Those are the people we should feel sad about.

While I feel for his kids, I could care less that he killed himself.

You think it is wrong to lump the family members together who worked together on one of the biggest ponzi schemes in history (far smaller than SS, but still huge)
 
I have no idea how my folks made their money, as a child or an adult, they children could be innocent, it isn't that far fetched a notion, they may have been kept in the dark because it was illegal!

Like I stated, I feel for the kids. Not for this asshole. Why should we care that he killed himself? A lot of people unfortunately kill themselves. The ones who fuck people over and show no remorse... yeah, I am not going to feel for them.

I'm not familiar with either of the son's involvment. Were they arrested too?

I haven't read much on it, but are you really so sure that the son was involved in some way w/ the scheme? On the news, it had sounded like he was cleared, but again, I haven't followed it too closely.

To me, it just seemed tragic because Bernie was & is such horrific scum; if his son was innocent & ignorant to what his father was doing, my first impression was of just another life destroyed by how selfish that dude is...

Did you work in their firm/business? Were you one of the top executives?

Again, given their placement in the firm, there is no way they could not have known. None.

They were both at the firm for 20 plus years, they both held senior positions in the firm. If I remember correctly Mark ran the trading desk. The odds of him not knowing are somewhere between slim and none and slim just dropped 100 of his 101 pounds. The only way he didn't know was if he was extremely challenged mentally. given his position in the firm that would seem to negate that possibility.

Shallow? they worked for the firm their entire careers, spanning almost two decades. They were senior members of the firm in tenure and position. So how is it shallow? Do you honestly think Madoff was able to run that on his own? Without the head of his trading desk knowing? Please.

Didn't realize that, and it certainly doesn't look good. I really have to plead some ignorance on the whole Ponzi thing, though; wouldn't a firm run some legit trading as a cover for a lot of the fudged #'s, or is that not a part of it?

I guess I'd love to think that he kept his kids out of it somehow. He's already one of the worst people alive; the idea that he'd have no issues dragging his son into this is really hard to comprehend...
