Macron trolls Trump with ‘Make Our Planet Great Again’ website

It's OK for the President of France to make the planet great again, and it's OK for the POTUS to MAGA.

I'm OK, you're OK.

Trump isn't doing that, though.

I really have no idea how anyone can look at Trump's first few months and conclude that he's even trying to do that. Trump is about Trump. His main purpose so far seems to be to create drama. He likes the headlines, because they feed his ego. And that's what his Presidency is about.

He sure isn't unifying the country, or trying to. He's not getting a lot of meaningful legislation passed, or any other measures of consequence. Ask a supporter what he's done, and the 1st thing they'll generally bring up is Gorsuch, which is something he had to do since there was a vacancy for so long, and a softball because of the GOP majority in Congress.

The French President hasn't done anything to make the planet great again, either. Not even appoint a SC judge.

A president's budget is an outline of his legislative and moral priorities. Science is not among your Presidents priorities.

Your president is on public record claiming that global warming is a Chinese Hoax.

My opinion is that if we follow the guidance and priorities of your president, America's scientific leadership will be eroded.

My opinion is that the French, being historic leaders in enlightenment and humanism, will never decide that science is not a priority, that they will never propose massive cuts to scientific research.

Now, I am not French, so that is just my opinion. People state their opinions all the time on this board, including you, no?

Opinions are not facts. "have to do with Drumpf's erosion of American's scientific leadership, which is apparently defaulting to France?" sounds more like than an opinion. And one you have yet to answer. Nice try at a spin though.

Trump will not try to make the planet green again, unless he can profit, in some way, from Russian money.

Here is a news flash for you Zippy. No government, worldwide, is going to try and make this planet green again unless there is money lining someones pocket. Think about that for a minute or two.

Will Trump do ANYTHING that does not "line his pocket"?

I :loveu: Macron. He's everything trumpovchka isn't.

"French President Emmanuel Macron launched a website Thursday aimed at combatting climate change, inviting American scientists to work in France following President Trump's withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement. The website's name —“Make Our Planet Great Again" — is a play on Trump’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again.”

“Faced with the climatic skepticism of the new government of the United States, President Emmanuel Macron invited American scientists to come work in France,” the website reads.

The website also touts France’s science and technology sectors in an apparent sales pitch to American scientists.

“You may know our research hubs, such as La Sorbonne or Paris-Saclay. These are the places you have to come work in to develop new initiatives for our planet,” the page says. The newly elected French president debuted his play on Trump’s slogan in a video criticizing Trump's decision to pull the U.S. out of the climate accord."

Macaroni needs to focus more on "Make Paris Streets Safe Again." Un imbécile français.
