Macron, Putin agree to work for Ukraine ceasefire

The only NATO countries bordering Russia are Latvia and Estonia, both of which joined in 2004. There are no discussions regarding Ukraine.

Almost 20 years later, Putin tells us that NATO expansion is a life-and-death issue for Russia. Does that suggest anything about his motives?

I think Putin thought this gimmick would divide NATO.

Three years ago, NATO looked on the verge of fracturing, thanks to Trump.

Today, NATO has never been stronger and is unified in supporting Ukrainian sovereignty.

Bullshit, Trump demanded that NATO countries paid the 2% they committed to way back in 2006. However rich countries like Germany have consistently refused to pay up. Trump was the first president to shame them into honouring their commitments.

^ this is what will happen if at all, and I'd say the probability is greater then 50% ( my guess).
as Putin will say it's to protect Russians in LDNR - which it would be.
But it would be insane for a full scale invasion -and Putin is a lot of bad things,but not insane.

Of course if we kept Ukraine as a buffer state there would be no reason to go into LDNR - but Biden is toostupid to understand this, and his advisors are already salivating for war

The Taliban did not attack the WTC. Trump is not expected to pay out to Epstein's victims because he knew Epstein.

Putin has been complaining about NATO expansion since it started. your fact is incorrect, and yes having land forces capable of rolling into Moscow as well as missiles minutes away IS "life and death"

It may be his priority, but he won't make it in the forseeable future.

Incidentally, Zelenskyy is a native Russian speaker. So much for the "genocide" we hear about from Putin and RT.

Seriously: why is Putin talking like that? He's setting Ukraine up for something. You say it won't be a major military incursion. I don't know one way or the other. But if not, what's the point of it?
