Serial Thread Killer
Of course, Joke didn't do this one live, but that kind of goes with him being a zombie...
In an op ed piece, Joke rambles on about gun control tossing in a number of lies along the way.
He opens his column with cherry picking
One year ago today, an individual who had posted a white supremacist manifesto, armed with an AR-15 style firearm, killed 10 Black Americans and injured three others at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York. Ten days later, another lone gunman, again armed with an AR-15 style firearm, killed 19 children and two teachers at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.
While factually true, he chose those events leaving out others to press not only a gun control agenda, but a oft told lie of the Left (shown in red) that hints at his repeated lie that White supremacists are the biggest threat to the country. Note, he left out the case of the tranny shooting up a religious school and leaving a never publicly seen manifesto, likely because it goes entirely against the preferred narrative, as but one example.
He then says this:
I carried their message back to Washington, which finally broke the congressional logjam. Congress passed the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, the most significant gun safety legislation in nearly 30 years.
This is a lie. The Safer Communities Act passed almost entirely on party lines and isn't particularly significant. It's a one-page bill making slight changes to certain aspects of existing legislation. Here, read it for yourself:
https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/senate-bill/2938
I said the new law was real progress.
You call that progress? A few minor tweaks to existing laws and legislation? I call bullshit on that too.
Then he says this picking the most extreme sample he can use:
We need to do more. In the year after the Buffalo tragedy, our country has experienced more than 650 mass shootings and well over 40,000 deaths due to gun violence, according to one analysis.
That "analysis" is this site:
https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/
Note right off, that suicides and accidents are included in the figures, a common lie used by gun control nuts to inflate figures for impact.
Then there's this lie:
Just last weekend, an assailant in tactical gear and armed with an AR-15 style weapon killed eight individuals, including children, at a shopping mall in Allen, Texas. Guns are the number one killer of children and teens in America.
Accidental death from unintended actions is the number one killer of children and teens BY THE GOVERNMENT'S (eg., Biden's) OWN STATISTICS!
https://www.childstats.gov/americaschildren/mortality.asp
In fact, suicides outnumber homicides among children.
Here he sounds exactly like Trump while lying:
I have already taken more meaningful executive action to reduce gun violence than any other president, and I will continue to pursue every legal and effective action.
This too is a lie, as his source doesn't differentiate between types of background checks. (referring to the earlier cited bill)
These enhanced checks have already stopped more than 160 firearms from getting into potentially dangerous hands, according to data from the Justice Department. Justice has also used the Act to charge more than 60 defendants with gun trafficking and illegally purchasing firearms for another person, seizing hundreds of firearms that could have ended up in the hands of criminals.
His source:

This lie is repeated here:
Gun violence is No. 1 killer of kids. Here are commonsense steps to address it.
Gun violence isn't the leading killer of kids as I demonstrated earlier.
Then he lies here, clearly knowing NOTHING about how police are armed
I know the brave Americans who serve in law enforcement are tired of being outgunned by criminals with AR-15 style firearms, losing officers in the line of duty, and carrying the trauma of these attacks for the rest of their lives.
Virtually every police department in the US has access to AR-15 style rifles, often fully automatic. So, his whole statement is a lie exacerbated by hyperbole.
