Yep, coming to a car dealer near you soon are cars with mandatory, factory installed kill switches...

...hidden away in the recently passed infrastructure bill, the very one I warned before would negatively impact drivers across the country if it were to pass, is a measure to install vehicle kill switches into every new car, truck, and SUV sold in this country.

Not only is this potentially dangerous but it creates a true slippery slope situation. When the government--and others--can monitor your activity continuously behind the wheel of a vehicle, you can bet they'll come up with some truly overreaching and stupid ways to use it to fuck up and control your life.

You will obey.

They already have these, and can monitor every late model car. I'm guessing there will be a way to disconnect this new version.

You are fucking lying again handjob. Kill switches will not exist!

You didn't read the article did you? Their rebuttal is nothing but an equivocation.

It is the AP that is distorting the truth.

From YOUR article:

One provision in the legislation aims to prevent drunk driving deaths by requiring all new vehicles to soon include “advanced drunk and impaired driving prevention technology” as “standard equipment.”

However, in the months since the law passed, some social media users have misrepresented the provision online, falsely claiming it will give police access to data collected by the technology or allow the government to shut down cars remotely.

The law gives the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, an agency under the Department of Transportation, three years to define which specific technologies cars should begin using. Once defined, automakers have between two and three years to comply.

The law leaves most of the details up to NHTSA, specifying only that the technology should be equipped to passively monitor a driver’s behavior or blood alcohol concentration, as well as prevent or limit motor vehicle operation if the driver is impaired.

So, even they admit that the law will require the equivalent of a kill switch in every vehicle. After all, how else could a driver who is considered by the system "impaired" be kept from operating the vehicle? There's no "distortion" going on here. Every vehicle will get a kill switch operating on some sort of sensor system.

I can remember when the same sort of retards tried "automatic" seatbelts. That was an unmitigated disaster too. This will be another disaster of unintended consequences brought on by radical Leftist retards--the sort you champion and support--to micromanage your life when they can't even run their own...
