Losing Our Sense of Common Decency

LMAO.... no, it is not. We do not threaten China, Indonesia, India etc... with military might in order for them to produce our goods (China/Indonesia) or services (India). They do it because it is a benefit to them. To THEM they are high paying jobs that can help their middle classes grow. The US also knows that by increasing the middle classes elsewhere, it creates more consumers for our end products.
It's mostly a benefit to the elitist fascists in charge. The slave workers are committing suicide due to the horror of their lives.
Any job that HAS to stay here: ie.... building out infrastructure, homes, office buildings etc.... those are jobs that the people who don't want higher education can retrain into.
But even jobs that require higher education are being outsourced, programmers, scientists etc. Are you saying american tech people should just work at mcdonalds or in construction? That's a degradation of standard of living, which you claim isn't happening. You're a traitor.
The infrastructure is in tatters.... there are countless jobs waiting to be done.
But what buildout are referring to? And what about fields going overseas that are high education fields?
Please show me where millions of Scientists and IT have been outsourced. Meaning... show me where SCIENTISTS are actually looking for work in the US and can't find. As for IT... a lot of people went into that sector in the late 90's and we had to IMPORT a lot of tech people to keep up with demand. After Y2K was past, many of those jobs were gone.
Are you saying millions of IT and science jobs aren't being sent overseas? Say it ain't so, first. Then ill make you look foolish. Otherwise I'm not going to get bogged down in busy work. It's happening, cretin.
That said, I do agree many jobs are going to be competitive on the world market. AS THEY SHOULD BE.
They shouldn't be to the extent that free people are competing with slaves. The international labor pool should be contrained within some kind of moral framework. Plus, multinationals are charging higher prices in america, such that the cost of living alone puts americans out of the running.
What you advocate is the destruction of the american standard of living, based on spurious dogmatic goals.
Yes, I am aware there is more involved, I have highlighted some of the major problems in previous threads.

No, I do not accept it, which is why I rail on the problems we face. But the problems are not due to globalization. It is due to the far too cozy relationship between wall street and DC.
And globalization. Protectionism is a traditional tool of trade policy, it's only in your brainwashed globalist assbrain that it's socialism, or harmful in any way.
The new normal is that we will continue having to pay for the sins of wall street banks and DC politicians until we revolt and toss them all out of office.
wrong. The new normal is accepting our true economy, that has been ruined with globalization idiocy. The bubbles covering these fundamental flaws have all nearly been popped, revealing the truth of "fucked by globalization" state of being.
I blame the leadership as well. But it isn't the trade policy that is destroying this country. It is the fiscal/monetary policy and the lack of regulation in key areas of the market.
Nope. It's the globalization stupidity.
Now you are just becoming overly hyperbolic. Borders ARE arbitrary you twit. Just look at the countries of the middle east and the arbitrary nature in which they were created after the fall of the Ottoman empire. Our borders arbitrarily changed as we 'purchased' land. I have never stated we shouldn't defend our borders or fight to be the best. I simply think that to be our best we have to produce at the highest capacity that we can. If that means shipping off jobs that can be done more efficiently elsewhere, THAT helps us.
The blood sweat and tears poured into defending them make them not arbirtrary. And the borders determine what governments get to tax and control the people living there. If borders only serve the technocrats and citizens derive no benefit from their existence, then the government claiming sovereignty over that territory is illegitimate.

No one suggested that our government SUPPRESS the citizens of the US moron. Not in any way shape or form.

When you place the value of efficient and cheap production over the needs of your citizens, allowing them to be "optimized" out of the supply chain. That is traitorous. The purpose of "free trade" is to allegedly allocate resource more efficiciently, but when parties are "optimized" out of the supply chain, resources are not longer being allocated to them. The absract goal of "efficient production" is not an end itself, especially when that end destroys the lives of the citizens the government and economies are supposed to serve.
