“lose-lose” scenario

That Putin's Russia would never "do it again" seems a weak contention unless the price paid for doing it a first time is especially heavy.
what do you think is happening? :rolleyes:
The price is very "heavy" - and Ukraine isnt even a NATO state

yes indeed. Capitulate to a dictator who does not care about human lives. That would work out well as Putin strung up everyone who fought him and took over the media. Only Putin can end it now.

Might well be a lesser problem, as prior Russian successive leaders sometimes proved to be. In this case, Putin's ego is uniquely engaged in what has become a nasty experience for Russia however it ends.

A civilization can't stand still. Civilizations either grow and move forward or stagnate and move backward into corruption and eventual implosion. It's up to the Russians to chose their path; global death or peace and prosperity.

Let's see how the virtue-signaling woke Western war-hawks (and their deluded "conservative" confederates) like unaffordable food and energy - including electricity.

Russians won't have McDonald's or Starbucks. We won't have food or energy.

let them eat cake...

I recall how that one turned out.
