Los Angeles passes pot tax

Inventing stuff that people can use to better their lives is a good example of thing smart, wouldn't you agree? So yeah, dope makes you think, but it makes you think like a dope.

That's only if you completely devalue the arts, which I would object to. There is no question that pot stimulates creativity in the brain, and has inspired greatness in literature, art, music, et al.

I can't speak to engineering & mechanical accomplishments; it's fairly rare that achievers in that field give more personal-related interviews, and even more rare that they would credit something like pot for inspiration....

You've bottle-necked your position to art, which is entirely subjective. Therefore you cannot quantify any increase in creativity by being a pot-head.

hahahahahahah

It wont discourage use.

It will help the people give meaning to their lives.

Pot makes you think.

It helps your mind wander into areas you are reluctant to see.

Alcohol helps you block out.

actually desh, the tax is a so called sin tax...which is in fact meant to discourage use.

further, it is asinine to claim marijuan only helps you think. alcohol can also help you think by diminishing inhibitions or what is commonly known as 'loosening the tongue' etc...however....with BOTH substances, too much and you will cease to have any real meaningful thinking and will either be drunk or stoned....vs just a comfortable high or buzz

songs are in fact invention...why do you say they are not?
Not really. According to m-w.com,
a : something invented: as (1) : a product of the imagination; especially : a false conception (2) : a device, contrivance, or process originated after study and experiment
.

I look at an invention as something that can be patented. A song is different, and can be copyrighted.

Prove it. You're the supposed mechanical engineer. If you say it does'nt work how come no one on the science forums agrees with you?
Forums are full of self-proclaimed experts, as you so aptly demonstrate. The onus on you to prove that it will work. Build a prototype like you claim expertise on.

I can prototype it fine. I need a numberhead like you to determine the ratio of compressor volume to expansion turbine volume for me. Unfortunately.

Or I could spend what little lifespan I have left using trial and error and possibly perfect it before I expire, but that wouldn't help the world as soon.

Take a course called "thermodynamics" and find out why it won't work.

Or build a prototype. Most of the worlds best inventors never took that course.

I read "Engineering Thermodynamics" or whatever. That is why the engine will work. Though I was able to gather enough theory, I didn't have the math background to use the formulas. If I build a prototype and the ratio is incorrect, the engine will not work. I only have so much time, that is whole point of people like you, to avoid as much trial and error as possible. Poor people all over the world need this engine. You should help. Why do you hate poor people?

:)

Read about the first and second laws of thermodynamics.
