Lord, please show your power and might in Charlottsville today

I added NOTHING.
Daniel's prophecies are in regards to a little nation that "waxed exceeding great", and about it's host people, the European Americans; whom he described as a people "out of the fourth kingdom upon the earth", ie out of England....and as "the mighty holy people."

Daniel foretold in chapter 7, verses 24-26 that, in the latter years a "diverse" people (African Americans) would subdue the European Americans, and would "think to change times and laws" of the European Americans, and would "take away the dominion" of the European Americans, and would consume and destroy their dominion unto the end."

It's all come to pass just as Daniel foretold it.

You believe Jesus lied about love and that God isn't all merciful. Dude, I think you are worshipping this asshole:

Hello rightwingy,

Sorry. I don't believe you. I don't think the Bible says "(the blacks)" the way you said it, and it is way older than the term 'African Americans,' so I don't think it said that either.

I don't know. I don't read the Bible. It is meaningless to me. I consider it a collection of nonsense myths that likely began as parents lying to children and telling them bogus things just to silence them after they asked inevitable difficult questions that the parents had no answers to. And these myths were then told to the children of the children after they became adults. And all of this bogus nonsense was likely told from memory generation after generation, and embellished along the way by each story-teller for perhaps thousands of years until writing was invented and the old myths began to be written down in another language besides English, because English did not even exist then. After that it was translated from language to language until we finally have the book we know today as the Bible.

And that is why I consider it all BS.

Meaningless.

Merely a glimpse into what ancient humans guessed were the answers to questions they could not answer.

Since then humans invented science.

Science has already answered most of the unknowns, thus dispelling much of the Bible.

It is essentially a useless reference.

And then to have it misquoted here is taking wishes from pipe dreams.

It could hardly be more meaningless.

I am so unmotivated to try to verify anything in the Bible, I would rather move on to another thread and discuss actual politics.

That would be more interesting and a better use of my time.

I would add that the political aspect of this thread, the removal of the offensive statues, has been an excellent step in the right direction for America.

Removing those statues has helped make America greater.

Well, it looks like the Lord has let down all of his followers.

He did not show his power, nor his might, to prevent the statues from being removed.

It appears it has been a mistake to place any faith in him to do that.

No problem here. I am fine with all those offensive statues being removed from public property.

Slavery did not make America great.

How bout that bolt of lightning that destroyed the George Floyd mural in Toledo Ohio. Think maybe that was God showing his anger and disgust with you black devils and with the white liberal harlots who worship and idolize your black asses?

I think so. I really do.......and I can't stop laughing!
THANK YOU, LORD!

Goodbye rightwingy,

How bout that bolt of lightning that destroyed the George Floyd mural in Toledo Ohio. Think maybe that was God showing his anger and disgust with you black devils and with the white liberal harlots who worship and idolize your black asses?

I think so. I really do.......and I can't stop laughing!

Before I end conversing together, two words come to mind on the unrelated freak occurrence mentioned.

Entirely coincidental.

There is no scientific evidence of the existence of a creator/overseer being, and it makes no sense that one exists, when the big picture is examined. Certainly if one did exist, he/it/she would not be playing racial favorites. All of the references you made to the Bible were embellished, and did not include racism. Almost nobody in upper echelon of main stream established religion believes in racism. It would be illogical for a creator to pick favorites. It remains unexplained why a creator would suddenly create life where there was none. And would not this creator being be life itself? If so, then the question looms: who created the creator? And then who created the creator's creator, and so on, ad infintum. In a word, absurd.

It also remains unanswered what the possible purpose of creating life would be. Especially if the old myths are true that life itself is doomed. Equally absurd is the idea that the 'chosen ones' would have an infinite existence in pleasure and glory. That is ridiculous. It actually sounds like kind of a hell to me. Sounds pretty boring. So, nobody gets old and dies. And there are no births. No new individuals are added. Just the same group of individuals for all eternity? So, like, what is everybody going to do after the first few hundred years of playing games and frolicking in the beautiful meadows? Nothing but more of the same? With no end, ever? I would rather live one life well lived and then cease to exist at all. Have some closure.

The evidence of the universe indicates that a big bang occurred, and celestial objects including our solar system are still traveling away from the origination point. To what end remains unknown. And maybe not knowing the future is actually a good thing. It causes life to be a challenge.

Science is still trying to determine how life began, but the evidence of evolution is well established. We evolved from lower life forms, but most of the DNA is actually shared. Humans share over 90% of our DNA with that of a dog. Humans share 98.8% of DNA with a chimpanzee. Humans are nothing but intelligent animals. The idea that Jesus was a white anglo-saxon is ridiculous, and unsupported by any evidence. He didn't speak English, and he was probably dark-skinned.

Believers in the creator/overseer being will use any event or events to support their view, even if it is unrelated to other events.

In this discussion about hoping the Lord would intervene in the removal of monuments to racism, which did not occur (thus showing that prayers were not answered) bringing up a coincidence about a lightning strike hundreds of miles away is nothing but whataboutsim and searching for straws.

Now that you have shown your lack of respect for me with shameless immature name-calling, I am making good on my word. I find your overt racism and disrespect for other people disgusting. I don't wish to dwell on such negativity. I choose to interface with individuals of a more positive outlook, so I now choose to cease interfacing with you. I do wish you well, and hope you have a good life filled with love for all your fellow human beings; (as prescribed in the Bible) because we are all on this one little tiny speck of a planet which supports our lives together, and it is logical that humans should look out for one another. You are permanently Ignored. I'll never read a word you write, even if quoted by another, nor respond to you, nor participate in your threads. This is my last post in this thread. Be well. Be good to yourself and other people.
