Didn't you get the alert? I sent out the distress call on our secret board-leftie network, as soon as I saw how woefully outmatched I was. Tiana was a first responder....

No I didn't get drunk, there was a really bad storm, and the meeting was cancelled, (power outage) AFTER, I had already driven from Nassau county to Mattituck. So I just drove all the way back, and it was raining so hard I didn't even stop at a farmstand. It really sucked.

Yeah, woefully outmatched, lol. I still can't believe he was serious, this is the stupidest that's been up here in a long time.

Read the original post closely... I was giving Lorax shit for all his faux outrage. Though he did clearly misrepresent my position (which he deems as lies).... I was kidding when I posted it. Hence the "I am just displaying the same faux outrage that Lorax... our new Gumby... has displayed when crying about other "liars"." portion of my original post.

But Lorax, with the ever present stick up his ass, went and got all serious about it. Then Tiana in her infinite wisdom joined in with the bashing of the freak.... till it was pointed out to her that the whole thread was a joke... then she threatened the freaks cool points. :(

I still don't know what faux outrage you are talking about (please don't explain further!) but I am glad to hear this was a joke, you were worrying me. I thought maybe you had gotten a hold of a bad piece of meat.

Bummer! It was really pouring here, too - bordering on Biblical. Sorry you had to drive out in that, and sorry that you're not drunk. I'm off my "toe pain" meds, so I can empathize.

And yeah - really dumb thread. I think he was having a caffeine moment, or something; it was dumb even by the usual SF standards.

Oh thanks. I hope I don’t turn into an alcoholic, which is doubtful, I think I would have by now if I had it in me. But this election is pushing me towards chemical alterations. I’m sure I’m not the only one.
