Looting rocks Philly for a SECOND night: Brazen thieves rip out safe

so u agree its not racist to call those 3 niggers

Doesn't bother me what anyone calls them.

People are viewed by others according to the way they conduct themselves and the things they do.

Short of skinheads, neo-Nazis, and KKK robe wearers, I never call anyone racist.

So you think that if Republicans were in charge, black youth would suddenly stop dropping out of school, joining gangs and turning to crime?

I guess under Republicans, they'd stop listening to rap music, too. :palm:

Golly, maybe they'd even stop wearing their hair like this....

I seriously doubt party politics occupies the minds or plays a role in the life choices of guys like those two.

You ask a very good question here Norman:

"So you think that if Republicans were in charge, black youth would suddenly stop dropping out of school, joining gangs and turning to crime?"

First of all my answer to your question is, "No". Second, it's clear from your question that black youth have done all those things while democrats have been in charge. Is that entirely the fault of Democrats? Not entirely. I'd say it's an issue related to black culture in America. And my question back to you is who do you think has had the greatest influence on black culture in America? Democrats or Republicans?

Black Panthers and BLM are racist

My answer would be neither.

Black culture is what it is.

I think the Democrats actually stopped it from becoming even more violent and desperate, by pushing policies that at least kept roofs over the heads and food on the tables of the low income and unemployed, which includes both blacks and whites, but a larger percentage of the black population per capita.

Did it produce perfect or even near perfect results?

No, and I don't think that was ever the goal or expectation.

One group, even if it represents a large majority of a population, cannot force its values and cultural mores on another smaller group that represents a minority of that population.

Just doesn't work.

Especially in a country like ours in which individual freedoms are the basis for all our laws.

The situation today is the result of a complex, intertwined web of circumstances that took well over a century to weave, and which both sides share responsibility.

That having been said, I think the time has come, for black American youth to be getting up to speed with the rest of society.

Not to become perfect, because no other ethnic group is perfect, but for a much larger percentage of their youth to start acting like they have some values and see there is a future for them outside the world of gangs, rap music, drugs and crime.

I think they are moving in that direction, but too slowly.

So neither Democrats nor Republicans have had more influence than the other on black culture but you say Democrats have "...actually stopped it from becoming more violent and desperate...". That's a contradiction and it seems as though youd like to take credit for saving blacks from themselves while simultaneously distancing yourself from the influence you clearly state you have on black culture.

And if black culture is just what it is then you haven't stopped anything. You can't say you have no influence while claiming you stopped things then claim black culture just is what it is.

Not true.

By "culture" I'm talking about ideas, deeply ingrained attitudes, resentments and the way they see themselves... as separate from the rest of society and how they seem to prefer to keep it that way rather than "act white".

Hispanics have their own culture, but seem less predisposed to rebel or go against the majority.

Asians have their own culture and seem to have assimilated themselves very well.

The Democrats' policies helped lessen the severity of poverty for low income people of all races, which in turn I think, helped keep an all out revolt from happening and reduced the numbers of people who would have been living and dying in the streets today, but had no effect on their cultural values and attitudes towards the white majority.

Two different things.

Let's focus on this comment:

"By "culture" I'm talking about ideas, deeply ingrained attitudes, resentments and the way they see themselves... as separate from the rest of society and how they seem to prefer to keep it that way rather than "act white"."

So do you have any idea about where the belief that it's better to be separate from the rest of society rather than "act white" came from?

Not from any political party, I'd say.

Probably has its origins in more than one source.

Certainly resentment against whites for various historical reasons.

Maybe partly instinctive as well.

I'm not black, so I can't speak to something that intrinsic.

They are the black equivalent of the skinheads, neo-Nazis and KKK.

One big difference....those groups dont get support from the MSM and Mayors etc

Also

Those groups have not caused $2 BILLION after violence in 140 cities across America and at least 25 Americans were killed during BLM protests and political unrest in 2020

So would you say that Democratic party has had no more of an influence on black culture than the republican party?

Those white extremist groups have been responsible for other violence, but it's not a contest, is it?

I'm not here to argue which side is worse or to what degree.

Assholes are assholes.

I would say that is true.

Even though blacks overwhelmingly vote Democrat? And someone like Biden says things like, "They're gonna put y'all back in chains"?

Yes, even though................ etc, etc.

Blacks vote Democrat because Democrats support programs and legislation that they feel are beneficial to them.

You may disagree on the point of beneficiality, but it's their decision and their vote.

Like everyone else, they have the right to decide what's best for them and vote based on that.

But again, I don't think it has changed or affected black people from a cultural standpoint. They are who they are.

Also, I don't believe random campaign comments from politicians have any effect whatsoever on anyone's culture.

Only that of encouraging people to vote one way or the other.
