looks like politics as usual set congress for another confrontation over the debt

They CANNOT have the economy recover. That's been the master plan since inauguration day.

Imagine if we had Congress working toward a solution, as opposed to working toward the demise of Obama?

Boehner was at it again this morning:

"The American people are still asking questions. Where are the jobs, and dealing with our deficit and our debt would help create more economic growth in the United States, and it would lift the cloud of uncertainty that's causing employers to wonder what's next. So dealing with our debt and our deficit are critically important. If we really are serious about getting the American people back to work, then removing the clouds of uncertainty are important. It's important that we actually do what the American people sent us here to do. Why do we always have to allow elections to get in the way of doing the right thing? "

Notice that Boehner doesn't explain how more tax cuts will produce the jobs he pretends to care about while he, Ryan and Cantor busy themselves with gay marriage, defunding Planned Parenthood, and passing a non-binding resolution reaffirming "In God We Trust".

Notice that "uncertainty" doesn't bother Boehner when he threatens to hold America hostage by using the debt ceiling to get his way.

Notice that the deficit only seems to be a crucial issue when a Democrat is in the Oval Office.

Notice, too, that he asks "why do we always have to allow elections to get in the way?".
