Look what happens when Senator Vance puts a stick into a creek East Palestine, Ohio

The New York Times
"That rule required electronically controlled pneumatic, or E.C.P., brakes that would simultaneously slow down an entire train rather than individual cars. The rule applied to certain “high-hazard flammable trains” carrying at least 20 consecutive cars filled with liquids like crude oil. ...

Had the rule remained in effect, it would not have applied to the Norfolk Southern train that derailed in East Palestine, Jennifer Homendy, who heads the National Transportation Safety Board, said in an interview.

"In 2013, a train derailment and subsequent fire in Lac-Mégantic, Quebec, killed 47 people and required all but three downtown buildings to be demolished for safety reasons. The following year, a derailment in Casselton, North Dakota, spilled nearly 500,000 gallons of crude oil and caused $13.5 million in damage, prompting the Obama administration to push for a new safety rule to govern the transportation of hazardous materials, avoid environmental disasters and save lives.

The effort to create a new safety rule was fought by industry lobbyists, including Norfolk Southern Corp., the Atlanta-based company whose train derailed Feb. 3 in eastern Ohio and spilled chemicals, leaving residents in East Palestine worried about their air, soil and water quality...

...Efforts to reduce costs, including lobbying against costly regulation, increasing train lengths, reducing inspection times and making major cuts to the railroad workforce have made trains less safe, labor representatives and industry experts told USA TODAY. That has increased the potential for accidents like the one in Ohio to become more common..."

You guys are the ones calling every inch of government spending “socialism” you tell me! Why should the fed be using other states money to bail out Ohio.

Wrong. And You tell me why FEMA should NOT help.

Now republicans cry for federal EPA help

1. I’m sure you’re aware that it was Nixon who started the EPA.
2. Obama militarized the EPA. The EPA is not a branch of the military
3. Obama used the EPA to circumvent congress to make laws. The EPA is not congress.
4. Nothing wrong with the EPA when it’s used for the purpose for which is was intended.

Why not?
It doesn’t come close to resembling the agency for which it was originally intended.
It’s been militarized
It’s been used to circumvent congress to make unconstitutional laws, specifically to remove local jurisdictions and place private lands under federal jurisdiction.
It’s now shown as being completely useless when there’s an actual environmental disaster.

Now Democrats want to ignore damage to the environment

Post 6 and you had to pull this dumpster out of your ass. Biden has been pledging federal help since the train derailed. The Republican governor of OH didn't want it until his citizens revolted.

This corporation should be forced to buy these people a brand new city elsewhere

Homes businesses and all infrastructure

Then should be forced to spend the money and decades to clean up the mess they made

I’m so glad republicans are begining to understand that DEREGULATION is stupid and evil

Like Biden said

“I love conversion”

And why do the JPP Nazis care about this one particular incident all of a sudden?
