Three hospitalizations and zero deaths out of 50K cases. That even surprises me.
Why should parents worry about sending their kids to college? Shouldn’t they worry more about campus rape or alcohol poisoning? Or even the flu?

It’s not the number of hospitalization numbers nor death count that makes it worrisome, but the infection rate, as I said, those same kids can infect those around them and close to them, you feel comfortable sending your kid into an environment where they can return carrying a deadly virus.
Been thru this umpteen times, you can ease your anxiety over the flu with a five minute stop at the local drugstore, not COVID, and I think most schools are concerned with sexual assault and alcohol abuse

Out of 50K flu cases on college campuses there would be more than three hospitalizations. Team COVID doesn’t like hearing it but COVID is LESS deadly than the flu to the younger population.
And it’s grotesquely unfair to young people to put their lives on hold [a critical time of their lives] so ‘some other people’ might not have consequences. Those people know who they are by now—it’s THEIR responsibility to stay out of the way.
