Dude, she's sooooooo moved on from you.

Or, I mean.... no one really cares about the stupid argument in the first place to put much time and effort into it to 'prove' the other imbecile wrong.

are you saying that this is a stupid thread and evince was stupid to claim this guy made the name up to fool people into thinking his company had something to do with christianity?

or maybe you support people posting meadowmuffins and not backing it up...

I have to admitt when I see a jesus fish on a business vehicle or advertisement I always wonder if its put there as a ploy.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Authorities on Monday arrested the chief executive of a private New York financing firm on suspicion of running a purported Ponzi scheme that attracted $400 million in investments, U.S. law enforcement officials said.

Nicholas Cosmo, head of Agape World Inc on New York's Long Island, was said to provide commercial bridge loans, but was instead operating a traditional Ponzi scheme in which early investors are paid with the money of new clients, officials said.

I think it demeans any religion to put it on a business face, This guy is the reason I think that.

Everytime I see it I think "this is phoney crap".

So if there are those who think they should USE it to get business for any reason do you think they are paying God homage or just looking for a customer hook?

If you actually read what I said I think about this then you wouldnt have to Make Shit Up about what I believe huh?

No, I want you to answer the one question I have asked you three times now.

You do know that there is an English word, spelled the same with a different meaning, right?

We'll start there and get you to answer the question which was:

Do you have anything other than your own suggestive speculation that even proves that the name of the company is using the Greek word you assumed it was?

Because ZERO of your answers show that you have.

I'm not asking because I think you are wrong, but because I need more evidence.

I would agree, that if he did indeed name the company using the Greek word it may be because he thought Evangelicals might invest more readily. But first I need evidence that he wasn't using the English word, because it is much different and actually fits better for an investment firm.

OK desh...you got me....whats the problem with the companys name...Agape World Inc......???
and
What about "a jesus fish on a business vehicle or advertisement" ?

Whats that got to do with this business or this article for that matter....??

THIS! WTF are you talking about jesus fish ?
The name Agape is funny though.
Who would invest with a company called Agape? LOL

If you actually read what I said I think about this then you wouldnt have to Make Shit Up about what I believe huh?

I am curious... do YOU actually read what you write??? Because again, all of your above posts suggest this man did this to take advantage of religious people. It all implies that religious people are stupid enough to invest in a company based on the name of the company. It ASSUMES that the name of the company is NOT using the English definition of the word.

NONE of it is backed by any evidence from you Desh. THAT is the point. You simply PRETEND that you know what the motivation was behind the name in an effort to bash religious people.

even if he did use the word as the greek word, he is greek i believe, it still does not mean it had anything at all to do with christianity. i posted a link to a greek singles match up site called agapa something.com.... that dating site had nothing to do with christianity... i am sure there are plenty of other greek businesses that use the word in a non christian context.

imo, she has not proved at all that he picked the name solely to confuse people re...christianity. she keeps citing her posts ad nausem as if that proves something. it is really comical, i have never seen such weirdness in a political forum before.

I'll admit... I had no clue what she was talking about either.

I did but that's because I've followed the Fish wars for years now. First there was the Jesus Fish, Then there was the Darwin Fish followed by a Jesus fish eating the Darwin fish (a mixed metaphor if I ever saw one as it's an excellent example of natural selection, but I digress). Then there was the the Darwin fish humping the Jesus fish.

All of that was topped off by the Flying Spaghetti Monster supported by a modern group of pirates.

You do know that there is an English word, spelled the same with a different meaning, right? A-gape , How did this guy pronounce it , I dont know.
I saw the name the the ONLY thing thawt came to my mind was the christian use of it.

I think NO matter what this guy says it was named after it still conjures up the religious image for more people than just me.

Do you really think this con man would be oblivious to this fact when he named the company?

ROFLMAO.... The above is quite funny... I should pay more attention to these "fish" wars...

That said, nowhere in the article did it suggest he had a jesus fish on his bumper or that the name of the company was somehow created to get christians to invest in his funds...

So it is your belief that Christian investors (though the article makes no reference to the capital sources) gave this guy multi-millions of dollars to invest in commercial (non-religious) projects because he named his company something that could be construed by some as religious?
