A U.S. Coast Guard officer stationed in Washington D.C. is accused of being a domestic terrorist. FBI agents arrested Lieutenant Christoper Paul Hasson and seized a stockpile of weapons and ammunition from his home in Silver Spring, Maryland.
The filings claim he planned to kill politicians and journalists from a list of targets that included House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and CNN anchor Don Lemon.*Prosecutors described Hasson as a white nationalist who planned "to murder innocent civilians on a scale rarely seen in this country."
"The defendant is a domestic terrorist, bent on committing acts dangerous to human life that are intended to affect governmental conduct," prosecutors wrote.
They said that Hasson was inspired by Anders Behring Breivik, the Norwegian terrorist who killed 77 people in a pair of attacks in 2011.
Hasson was arrested on charges of illegal weapons and drug possession but prosecutors said that those charges are the “the proverbial tip of the iceberg.”

I'm curious -- the citizens of countries with a socialized health care system seem mostly very pleased with it. Then why is the American right so opposed to having something similar here? Cost is not a good reason; we spend far more on stupid shit.

I'm curious, if the healthcare in the small countries the size of Alabama is so superior, why do heads of state travel to the US for special procedures?
I don't want the government determining my healthcare. A "free" system for 350 million people would be a royal, low quality cluster and a lotta dead people due to lack of money. The govt will ration the care and determine who lives and who dies based on their remaining taxpaying years.
The politicos, celebrities and billionaires who push such a system do so to gain power by playing to dumb people. They know they will never have to stand in a 3 mile line with their kid turning blue trying to get their "free" healthcare.
I suspect the sources you got that "info" from are not the most accurate. Everyone I know who lives overseas is pleased with their health care system.
BTW, your care is already determined and rationed.... only by corporations with no accountability other than to their shareholders. $arah Palin was right about "death panels." We've had them for years. They're the bean counters at Aetna, Blue Cross, Humana, etc.

Because money gets you to the front of the line in our society. Prestige, and wealth don't jump you there in the socialist ones. Wouldn't you like to be given the same consideration, as everyone else, and not be kicked to the curb like many in our country, that go without needed care.
Because the wealthy do not need it. They do not share our lives. They live in gated, protected communities. They attend separate school systems. You do not play golf on their courses or eat where they do. You do not work out where they do. They do not want a dime spent on Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid or any other social programs. They want taxes for the wealthy scrubbed.
Universal healthcare would save the country a lot of money, but would not help the wealthy. You don't get the same medical care they do.

Obama was able to humanize America, and get other countries back in our good graces. We kind of went around, and stuck our ass in the worlds face a bit, and made a lot of mistakes. If they shrugged off criticism like many Americans try to, and expected praise like that. They wouldn't last a month, before they got kicked to the curb.

You appear to think that in countries with free healthcare, citizens are forced to use it. This is not so. In Britain, for example, anyone who doesn't want to use the NHS is free to pay private medical insurance. Most people choose not to. The point is, it's a free choice.
