There were protesters...maybe 5,000 from the over head photos I've seen.
Not all protesters in the Square were anti Trump visit. They were out for womens' causes,
anti nukes, anti discrimination, anti American chicken (I kid you not) issues, upcoming election issues and local causes.
Trump got to see those along the road who were cheering him.

The hundreds of thousands was last year, 400,000 throughout the UK. This year it’s just thousands that marched, unlike what Trump claimed.

I don't know why the right even cares what Brits think. Europe hasn't been thrilled with America since the W Bush years. It improved a little bit with Obama, who was probably liked on the world stage, more then he was in America. If anything, England is probably one of the countries more favorable to America, among many European countries. Still, how do you get not many from the pictures, and coverage it's had?
