Locker Room Talk

I heard a great line this morning, the word regulation is soothing to a liberal's ear. It conjures up someone in gov't making sure everything is safe for them. Again, this is not to say we need zero regulations. But we pretty clearly have an over regulated economy today which is holding down growth and encourages rent seeking. It's a large part of why people in the country are so frustrated.

When will you be publishing your list of regs to do away w/??

With the limited free time I do have I don't spend it reading through the millions of regulations this country has so don't hold your breath for that report.

On a macro level we can look at several big ones. Dodd-Frank is a crusher on small and medium size banks and they are the ones who lend most to small businesses which are the engine of job growth in our country. Land use rules that prevent development of needed housing are a crusher, especially to lower income folks. The corporate tax needs simplification as too many smart people spend way too much time trying to save money through loopholes in the tax code rather than focusing that knowledge on production which produces growth. I could go on but you get the idea.

Locker room talk that isn't in the locker room.:palm:

WTF does locker room have to do w/ it?? NOTHING!!! Merely a ploy to discount the old perv's disgusting & illegal behavior...... Like it would be ok if it was in that room..

Because someone else did something, it's OK....

Someone needs to slap that MF & I know who would do a damn good job..........

Hopefully Rosey shows up @ the next debate & brings jerry springer as her guest.....

Lets see this president in action....

You don't even know what the phrase means......

How can you be so stupid ?....Don't get out much, do you

Are you saying that it's ok since you have heard it before??

Good question.....

I put it in context....its perfectly common in those places I've mentioned, and its been going on since the beginning of time in one form or another.....

Personally, I don't find it offensive when men and bullshitting with men, because I've been around a long time.....I find blacks calling each other ni--er or referring to women a ho's, and bitches more offensive.....

Guess you're gonna tell me you've never used the word pussy or heard anyone else say it.....if thats the case you've never went to high school or college, did you.

That kind of language is as common as breathing in todays world.....

Black people calling each other the N word is more offensive than a guy saying he grabs married women in the pussy because he's famous?

Yep....I have my opinion and you have yours.....and .....talk is cheap.....actions are something else altogether....

But saying the N word isn't action is it?

No...and thats what we're talking about....words.....I just happen to find the word nigger more offensive than pussy.....

You want to talk about actions...we'll reminisce about Bill and the four women that attended to debate Sunday....they KNOW about actions...rape, pussy grabbing for real, getting your head forced into someone's crotch....
then being threatened for complaining....and those threats are equal to actions....in a real sense.

Words aren't actions.....unless those words are threats....

To each his own man but I just find that an amazing analogy to justify Trump saying because he's famous he goes up grabs women in the pussy. How are black people using the N word to each other offensive to you in any way?

I'm not 'justifying' anything or anyone.....

Just pointing out to the pinheads, those old adages have a lot of truth in them.......... that talk is cheap....and actions speak louder than words.....

I think it's all objectifying, ignorant and lewd. But I hear songs calling women bitches, ho's, calling for raping them. Shooting, calling nigga etc ALL on public airways, all justified as "cultural art" Trumps conversation was lewd- but at least he wasn't making everyone listen to it. The media chose to make his comments public. So yeah, his locker room comments are no worse. For centuries men have objectified women. Liberals had no problem with objectifying Palin, calling her the C word.

Man, those polls are really looking bad for ol' Trump.

That map is going to be a wall of blue in November. The Senate probably goes Dem. The court will be liberal for a long time.

How did this happen? How did a sleaze like Trump con his way to the nomination like this? How were so many fooled by his phony schtick? May as well start analyzing this now, and learning from it. The nation deserves a lot better than an election like this.

From wikileaks

From the memo addressed to the DNC under the heading, “Our Goals & Strategy”:
“Our hope is that the goal of a potential HRC campaign and the DNC would be one-in-the-same: to make whomever the Republicans nominate unpalatable to the majority of the electorate. We have outlined three strategies to obtain our goal …”
Those strategies — while including the political typicality to paint the GOP candidates in an unfavorable light — also include the proposal to “Muddy the waters on any potential attack lodged against HRC.”
But far more telling is a section entitled: Operationalizing the Strategy.
Under the subheading, “Pied Piper Candidates,” the memo explains:
“There are two ways to approach the strategies mentioned above. The first is to use the field as a whole to inflict damage on itself similar to what happened to Mitt Romney in 2012. The variety of candidates is a positive here, and many of the lesser known can serve as a cudgel to move the more established candidates further to the right. In this scenario, we don’t want to marginalize the candidates, but make them more ‘Pied Piper’ candidates who actually represent the mainstream Republican Party. Pied Piper candidates include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Ted Cruz

  • Donald Trump

  • Ben Carson
“We need to be elevating the Pied Piper candidates so that they are leaders of the pack and tell the press to [take] them seriously.”
In other words, the April 7, 2015 memo — written at the very beginning of Clinton’s campaign — shows coordination with the Democratic National Committee from the start. Although written with the intimation whatever Clinton would choose to use against her Republican opponents would naturally benefit any Democrats in the presidential race, further information in the document shows either her campaign’s alignment had already begun, or that it would shortly.

Wiki leaks has made it clear Hillary's camp thought Trump was the one person they could beat and we gave him to her

It WAS locker room talk. Clearly Jarod has never played a sport. Guys say grotesk stuff. We are pigs, around other guys. But who cares? Women can't hear. Just joking banter.
