A 7-year-old girl crowned Little Miss Hispanic Delaware in an August 31 pageant was stripped of her crown last week by pageant sponsors who said she wasn't Latina enough.

Jakiyah McKoy took the top prize in the pageant also known as Miss Chiquita Delaware, stirring immediate outcries from some attendees because McKoy ‘was not the best representative of a Latin beauty.’

Why? Because her skin was of a darker color than the other contestants, though sponsor Nuestras Raíces Delaware claims it was the girl’s family’s inability to prove the requisite ’25 percent latina heritage’ that motivated them to strip her of the title.

A. I don't know what a "puig" is.

B. It says right next to my posts that I joined in August.
 
Still, the irony is so much richer coming the crowd that believes once an hispanic shoots a black man, the hispanic's actions have transformed him into a white man.

Puig is Cuban. Desh doesn't like American Cubans because they tend not to vote Democratic.

I don't see any connection between hockey and racism but I might be missing your point. Granted, hockey has it's deficiencies in many other aspects. Especially professional hockey, as with all professional sports.
 
Americans, even the most racist amongst them, have been somehow able to overlook the fact that their hated blacks are nearly the whole team in both football and basketball. So in some way they are able to rise above their racist hate in order to watch a game.

I have to wonder though if they are not motivated by the same thing that motivates people to watch car racing? A chance of an accident resulting in injury of death. Or even the chance of seeing some violence in a fist fight which obviously is the big draw with many professional sport and especially hockey.
