Robert Byrd did not commit treason, nor take up arms to kill American soldiers serving under the stars and stripes.

And unlike unrepentant confederates and confederate apologists, Robert Byrd expressed profound contrition for what he did as a young man, and spent the rest of his adult life making amends.

Anyone other than Byrd allowed to use the word "nigger" on the floor of the senate?

LOL - seriously.

ANY time racism on the right comes up, there is one answer from conservatives: ROBERT BYRD!!!!

I'm not sure if you realize that it hurts your argument that for years, you can only come up w/ one guy.

For real! How weak is the argument, if the best you can do is constantly bringing up a dead guy who was born over a century ago.

Perhaps it's your 3rd grade level reading comprehension.

lol

I have you on the Forum Illiterate list for your abuse of the English language. Specifically, that you don't know the difference between a noun and an adjective.

Illiterate fucktard.

Your hero, Strom Thurmond, the white supremacist, anti-Civil Rights, segregationist POS may or may not have used that word on the Senate floor, but he certainly found it acceptable to fuck a 16 year old black girl, didn't he? Actions speak louder than words.

Was it illegal at the time and if not, then why do you care?

A quote from Essie Mae Washington-Williams:

'He trusted me, and I respected him, and we loved each other in our deeply repressed ways, and that was our social contract.'

How abhorrent is Trump? Even traditional Republicans are disgusted by him...
