Limbaugh loses it over Trump's immigration flip-flop

ahhh no....that's not how it works. Very few work under the table. Until recently most have provided fake documents to obtain employment. It's not hard to forge an SS card. Until fairly recently a prospective employee was only required to provide documentation. Employers were not required to verify their documentation.

That has changed with the e-verify program implemented under the current administration and that has been very effective at curtailing illegal immigration.

Here it is strictly cash for several "professions"-easy, not complicated & they will work for a bit less if they get cash..

That is from the day labor living in the homeDepot parking lot, to the semi-permanently employed roofers, land scarpers, construction workers etc..

that is hardly the extent of it though.. There are many, & I have no idea how many, that work @ regular jobs & do have to pay SS, workmens comp etc...

I have a friend that I went rafting w/ last weekend & he was working @ a car dealership & had a couple wanting to buy a new car... Between them they were making over $10,000 a month & could easily afford the car but they couldn't qualify for the lone do to their status/lack thereof..

So you have documentation on how "very few" undocumented workers get paid off the books?

If e-verify keeps them off of the books, and "very few" of them work off of the books, how are they then working?

There is another aspect on this-regular ppl, not companies... They got something they can't do or just don't wanna do they can drive down to homeDepot & hire someone to do the job............ Obviously there is no checks etc...

Do you recall the law they passed in Texas?? You could get a big fine etc for hiring illegals UNLESS IT WAS FOR MAID, GARDENER ETC...

These ppl are not interested in doing a damn thing about it if it means they will be inconvenienced in the least.......

CNN) -- Amid a number of bills filed in Texas that address the issue of illegal immigration, one, proposed by Republican state Rep. Debbie Riddle, stands out.

As proposed, House Bill 1202 would create tough state punishments for those who "intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly" hire an unauthorized immigrant. Violators could face up to two years in jail and a fine of up to $10,000.

But it is an exception included in the bill that is drawing attention. Those who hire unauthorized immigrants would be in violation of the law -- unless they are hiring a maid, a lawn caretaker or another houseworker.

I didn't know Coulter had a book called "In Trump We Trust."

What a buffoon. Do people still buy those things?
Yes, Trump buys his own books, that is hilarious. I know all authors do, but Trump did it with campaign money.

Nope, it's the new softer Trump!

I have noticed there are certain ppl he knows not to mess w/....... limbaugh would be one, Ryan, Warren Buffett as well..........'

limbaugh still has lots of sway/power & could guarantee a loss if goes after the fake billionaire..

Po' trumpf, he got family to feed, he needs to lesson the supply before they get dumped on Dollar Tree..............

Surely all legal immigrants must have passports with the appropriate visas in them?

Why don't they insist that employers check passports for the relevant visa stamps, how hard is that?

They knowingly hire them... This is a symbiotic relationship... The very ones screaming the loudest are most often the ones hiring them..

In Texas they passed laws & wrote in exceptions for hiring illegal house servants, maids, gardeners etc........

the Republicans are insane w/ "amnesty" and such talk.
Trumps position IS a flip flop, there can' be any argument there. But if he comes to a better idea...why bitch about it?

Because for Republicans, there is no "better idea" than mass deportation.

Any attempt to discuss the issue framed in anything OTHER than deportation results in the usual name calling.

well I give him credit for backing off that insanity at least
He's been saying "enforce existing laws" -which would actually work -but you'd have to deport illegals (sic) who over stay their visas.

The Republicans are not going to go for any Comprehensive Immigration reform, unless that happens.
I don't see why we couldn't do that -except for hyper-partisanship

Oh those hypocritical Texas Righties.

I recall another article back then & one of the legislatures was asked why they supported it & his reply was something to the affect that if he denied his neighbors, friends & relatives access to cheap illegal labor he would be unwelcome by everyone he knows...

They all still have the right to appeal, etc?

I imagine he would be long dead as would most of them, by the time most of those millions of cases ever come to court/proceedings.. NIGHTMARE!!
