Well, it's official -- sort of. I just watched Lieberman's nasty little concession speech.
So, will the Democratic leadership take note? Will they stop trying to be Republican-lite? Will they finally simply abandon the right, admitting theat they've no constiuency there, and return to their roots? To make it work, they'll have to really embrace labor-centric populism. To make it work, they'll have to excite a lot of new support from the currently disaffected plurality.
I'm not holding my breath. But at least the party rank and file have sent the message.
