What evince and so many of these leftwing dumbasses don't get is that it's the latter that counts. They keep harping on something for which the Constitution itself says doesn't get you elected.

That's because they're so hooked on the idea that America is a Democracy that they mistakenly believe that everything is supposed to come down to popular vote. The Founders only wanted one office to be decided by popular vote, House Representative, they didn't even want US Senators to be popularly elected.
