Prominent Liberal Field General, Hilary Rosen, is now calling for peace in the War on Women, following a monumental tactical battlefield error by insulting virtually every stay-at-home mom in America. Gen Rosen lobbed the salvo on Anderson Cooper 360 yesterday, and sent the White House into full damage control mode. The Administration spokes-dummy said this morning, Ms. Rosen is not 'closely affiliated' with the president's re-election campaign, however FOI records show Ms. Rosen has had 35 official visits to the White House, in contrast, General Petreus has had 9 such visits.
Here's Gen. Rosen committing the egregious tactical error:
Less than 24 hours later, Rosen responds by issuing the following statement:
"I apologize to Ann Romney and anyone else who was offended. Let's declare peace in this phony war and go back to focus on the substance."
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So now, the Liberals want to call for peace in the War on Women, and return to talking about substance. Well, that's great, that's what the Republicans have wanted all along, they never declared the war to begin with. In fact, the term "War on Women" was introduced by liberals, it is used in campaign materials from virtually every liberal currently running for re-election. It is refreshing that Gen. Rosen now admits the war was phony, but we need to keep in mind who began the mythical war. We also need to remember, when you declare a war, even a mythical one, there is automatically another side, and peace will depend largely on how receptive the other side is to such a declaration. For instance, what does 'peace' look like in this mythical war? Does Gen. Rosen mean we should dismiss her remarks, and pretend we have declared peace, until liberals come up with yet another way to exploit the narrative? Or is she sincere, that liberals need to stop promoting the mythical phony war? Will stay-at-home moms be so offended by Rosen's remarks they retaliate by voting Republican? If so, this could be the worst tactical military error by liberals since leaving Saigon.
